Wishes to Northern Illinois University

If you haven’t read, there’s been yet another university shooting. A man killed (currently) five people and then himself at Northern Illinois University. I know we have a few readers from that area, one of which goes to Northern Illinois and thankfully emailed me to say he’s fine. Our wishes to go everyone involved.

We are all Huskies today, this is an awful tragedy and my heart certainly goes out to the victims and their families. When will the madness end?

I only read a little about the shooting but once i saw the headline it took me back to the days of the columbine shooting, and i remember how it wasn’t uncommon (in our area anyway) for bomb threats and the like, a bullet was even found ina locker one day. but though that whole time i am thankful that there never was an actual shooting in my school or in the area. I can’t (or at least i don’t want to) imagine what the students at Northern illinois university are going through and I wish them all the best.

FYI, I’d answer Drew’s question: When will the madness end? but we need to think about the victims and their friends and families for now.

Definite thoughts and prayers to the NIU family. I too would like to know when the chaos will end.
