My husband recieved a confirmation e-mail to be there at the audition site in new york but he can not make it. He just submitted a video and hoping can get the online test.

Has anyone who took the online test gotten any sort of notification about whether or not they're in the pool? It would be nice to have that information so as to know whether or not to keep auditioning. No need to if you're in the pool!

This happened to me. I submitted a video but put an actual "brief bio" in the brief bio section. I received an email saying my video had been selected and I get to take the online test but I'm 90% sure the system won't let me take the test because I screwed up my brief bio. But then on the website it says if you don't enter the information correctly your video won't even be looked at in the first place. Obviously my video was looked at and approved so…I'm a little confused.

This might've happened to me. I got an email saying that I was selected to take the online test but I didn't enter my birthdate in the bio. I don't know what happened because I read every single other thing it told me to do. In the bio box I entered an actual bio. Sigh. So when I log in to try to take the test on Friday I'm sure it won't let me.

Submitting a video is great – but what if you goof and send the video realizing that you forgot to put in your birth date
in the "Brief Bio." It would be better for the entrant if he or she would be prevented from submitting the video
until the originally omitted data was entered. Some people are not aware of an omission until it's too late.
They should be given a chance to correct an entry rather than be disqualified. It is hard work to come up with a
qualifying video only to be disqualified because of a goof in a bio.

Yeah, I noticed that too.

Also on the Embassy Row recycling beat–Donnymid's version of Pyramid had the website "pyramidgameshow.com".

I remembered that about a year after the cancellation of that version, I tried the website and it didn't work.

Now remember that version was by Sony, and the upcoming version is by Embassy Row–now owned by Sony.

The pyramidgameshow.com website now currently redirects you to Sony's site–yeah, they'll be using that one again soon…

I thought about using that option, but then if you ever read the full rules for the show, you pretty much have to be straight with the producers or you could be disqualified. So if you claim to be deaf and need the "disability" version, you better be deaf.

I like the video aspect of the audition. Hopefully that will stay with daytime "Millionaire" for a while, but good to see the phone game returning! I may just try both!!

As far as the phone contest goes, if you answer all 5 questions correctly, you get to pick a random taping date. At that point, the callbacks will start on July 21.

I found this tidnit interesting:

"A computer game has been established for persons who have physical disability that prevents them from using a telephone to participate in the Phone Game. Go to http://www.abc.com keyword Millionaire for details."

I wonder how that game works. Has anyone even considered doint it the "alternate" way?

Will the phone tryouts be the original Millionaire's two-stage process (3 FFQs, a qualifying call, and a 5 FFQ playoff),
or the SuperMillionaire phone game (just 5 FFQs)?
