Weekend Replay: QI

I wanted to show you all part of a hysterical episode of one of my favorite British shows (and one of my favorite TV shows, period).  We featured it previously.  This is called QI.  Featured in this episode is Oscar winner Emma Thompson, and the topic of the show is Films.  QI is a comedy panel show where it’s better to know interesting things, not the most obvious.  It’s a hysterically impossible panel quiz, and something I’d love to see pop up on BBC America.

Love this episode. Johnny Sessions's impression of Alan Rickman is gold.

This show is absolutely fabulous. I think there could be a chance for panel shows to make a transition over to the US market, there's plenty of comedians looking for work and it could be more fun than doing another vh1 nostalgia show.

Is it my computer, or is the video missing? :)

On the sound effects, I were hoping that they would show how the Godzilla roar was made by rubbing a leather glove down the strings of a violin or a cello. But anyway, still fantastic effects nonetheless!

  • Craig says:

Interesting how they incorporatdd audio sounds to buzzers(in this case, cinematic themes), Any movie buffs know what the first buzzer sounded like? I knew the other 3 right away.

  • Taylor says:

According to Wikipedia, it's the Pearl and Dean theme tune.

  • Razer says:

They do related buzzer sounds with every episode. Alan Davies' buzzer is usually a joke (such as killing the lights in the studio for the Electricity episode when he presses it the first time).

I consider this to be the number one show that BBC should bring to America. Kudos to Alex for posting this, I have yet to see much of Series F.
