Weekend Replay: Primetime “Deal or No Deal” Preview

Posted by Alex Davis On August - 17 - 2008

Here’s day two of the “I’m sorry I’ve been so busy” Weekend Replay.  As promised, it’s a video preview of the fourth season of NBC’s hit game show Deal or No Deal.  Again, new things to look for are the new stair and floor animations, new Banker booth, models wearing wigs (at least for game one), and, probably most cool of all, Howie’s entrance through the board.

  1. Shon Said,

I love the banker’s new office. It’s certainly flashier than it was before and Howie’s new entrance is great too.

In terms of the million-dollar mission I’m looking at the bright side of it. After the million is given away I’m sure we won’t been seeing it again (……..for a while anyway).

An overweight African-American woman screaming uncontrollably? What will these innovators think of next?

  3. Barry Said,

the wigs ruin the women! That was the dumbest idea ever.

What is wrong with these game shows? This woman was obnoxious. I understand they want peppy upbeat people but in that 3 min video I was fed up with her, I would not even be able to watch a whole episode.

It was interesting hearing the show dry without sound effects or music, it was like seeing it live in person.

  4. Neville Said,

Hey, Howie! I have a problem with your contestants, too!

    They’re too loud!

  5. Jordan Hass Said,

Well at least this could confirm our “MILLION DOLLAR WINNER” (s) are going to be won from the MDM.

I like the idea, but I liked it better when the top prize was $2,000,000 or $3,000,000.

  6. Shon Said,

I was paying close attention to the promos and Howie says something that is key. After he opens the case he says “come see the milion dollar WINNERS!”, he didn’t say winner which probably means that there is more than one.

  8. Devon Said,

Well at least Endemol keeps Deal Or No Deal fresh with some nice updates. One of the other things I would have LIKED to see would have been new money amounts on the board instead of the same ones from the previous 3 seasons (and I’m not talking for just “special” episodes either).

So we finally will have our first one million dollar winner from DOND. This is gonna be big. For a second i believed that it was as impossible to break the Bank on that show as it was to win a car on Whammy!

I have seen the pics and the new ads on TV for the new Daytime DOND. The only thing i wish was different from what i have seen was that it had much lighter colors on the set. You can obviously tell the difference between the TPIR day and night shows. But then again we’ll find out what our daytime Deals will be like when it premieres next month.
