Barker might have had conflicts with Dennis as well, considering that *some* of the James run (albeit less than 50 episodes) *didn't* have furs.

Sadly, not all of "TPIR's" reruns would be abused to death, because due to Barker's 'fur ban' clause, none of the Dennis James nighttime episodes have been show, and due to all of the people he had conflicts with (i.e. the classic models, Rod Roddy, Marc Breslow, etc.), probably the only shows that will see the light of day will be the Barker episodes after Rod died. The rest will probably be sitting in Fremantle's vaults until someone can turn over those BS clauses once it's time for Barker to be 'called on down!'

This episode is actually #7,145…or 7,146 since CBS seems to count that "Salute to the Troops" *daytime* episode that aired in primetime as a primetime special. The count has been off like this since at least 1998.

SPOILERS!
* Fortunately, nobody bid stupid amounts in Contestant's Row, much less $7,000. Surprisingly, Check Game didn't show up.
* Most Expensive was played for three trips totaling about $40,000. The contestant *happened* to pick the only trip that was NOT five digits.
* Grand Game's target price was $7.
* Lucky $even was played with seven $1,000 bundles. Based on how Drew phrased the rules, perfect pricing would have awarded the car without payment.

* There was a contestant named Janice who was called down. She wore a shirt reading "The hostess with the mostest", which I think Miss Pennington was called at least once during her tenure.

* Games 4-6 were Any Number, Bonus Game, and Double Prices.
** Bonus Game was lost through the last item, which *looked* easy but really wasn't.
** Double Prices was played for a single Rolex watch.
** Drew mentioned that this episode was Rich's 1,001st show.

* The Showcases were, respectively, modernizations of the two Showcases from #0101-1/0011D. Clips were shown of the prizes from then (revealed by the plasma screens through a representation of the "TNPiR '72" Door #2), but without sound and — most upsetting — no shots of Janice/Anitra's faces.

In an ironic twist (completely opposite to that on Show #1), Showcase #1 was the one awarded.

I remember that too, mrbrown2195. They’re gonna play the very first 2 games? Ok, I was born in ’77, which was 5 years after it premiered, so it would be nice if they did that. Plus show some clips from past episodes (which includes all 3 nighttime versions but especially the James/Barker and Kennedy versions).
