Various GSN News Items
Sorry, I thought someone was updating the site when I went away. Guess not. But lots of GSN news in my inbox. First off watch GSN Live tomorrow. Alan Thicke who hasn’t been as awful as an Expert on Who Wants to be a Millionaire? this week as I imagined, will be the guest. You can see him at around 1:15PM ET. He hosted a GSN show called Three’s A Crowd a long time ago. Apparently it wasn’t that popular because I don’t remember him on GSN at all.
Bingo America tomorrow is going to be great for all home viewers playing along as well. On Friday, the hit GSN show Bingo America will be matching any $50 winner with a $50 gift certificate for a “turkey”. Although it may be worth noting that there’s no way in hell you’ll be getting your prize before Thanksgiving so let’s just say you’ll be winning $100 if you play along tomorrow. Just go to GSN’s Bingo America website, download your cards, and play at 6:30PM E.
And oh yeah, High Stakes Poker is taping in a few weeks. It’ll take place at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

He hosted All New 3′s A Crowd in 1999. It aired in reruns until late 2001, and was brought back to weekday mornings and overnights in late 2004. It finally left the schedule when GSN revamped the Daytime schedule in April 2005.
…You forgot to mention how terrible it was. =)
Any show entitled 3′s a crowd is terrible! :p
Oh, maybe with the exception of the Sit-com spinoff with John Ritter. :p :p
Intelligentfan777, 3′s a crowd (the 3′s Company spinoff) wasn’t that bad. I thought (and still think) that many Three’s Company fans wanted to see some more characters from the show added on to the show.
3′s a Crowd (the ’70s game show) was ok. I easily called it “Wife or Mistress……I mean Secretary”, lol.
However, I was surprised that the Alan Thicke version of 3′s a Crowd lasted 2 seasons. Awful as that was, put it like this, I wish it would’ve traded places with Pictionary (a good show that lasted one season).
Didn’t Thicke do a enviromental themed game show for ABC Saturday mornings a while back (thinking 1990s) on this one?
He did. It was called “Animal Crack-Ups”, and there are the usual Wikipedia and IMDB articles for it.
Oh, and I’ll agree:
3’s a crowd (the 3’s Company spinoff) wasn’t that bad.
The 3′s a crowd game show from 2000 was.. tolerable, just like an older-brother’s-headlock is tolerable.
I remember “Animal Crack Ups”. It was actually a good show. It aired orignally as a “pilot” in 1987 (or ’88, I can’t remember exactly which year), but the ratings for that show was good, ABC picked it up (a rarety in that era). It lasted until 1990.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t Alan Thicke compose a number of game show theme songs (including a couple for Wheel of Fortune)?
Don’t forget about “Pictionary!!!”
