1a. This might quell the cancellation rumors of 1 vs. 100. A new 1 vs. 100 jigsaw puzzle/game is available in stores. (I will let the idea of a game show jigsaw puzzle soak into your head.) Since I got my federal tax refund last night, I decided to spend $10 on the puzzle. I found mine at a local Toys ‘R Us. There are 100 pieces to the puzzle, and each piece has a perforated circle with a number from 1 to 100….so that would make 200 pieces. The idea is to put the puzzle together and play 1 vs. 100 with the puzzle. For each right answer, you remove certain numbers from the puzzle. After 15 or so questions, you eliminate everybody and win. It’s different. University Games deserves an A for effort. A jigsaw puzzle?!

1b. While on the topic of 1 vs. 100 and putting the kibosh on cancellation rumors, a simple Froogle search at Google returned the following 1 vs. 100 home games which should be released by July: A box game, a tabletop game, a DVD game, and a Jakks Pacific Plug and Play game. If you always wanted to see how Bob Saget looks in 8-bit glory, it appears you’ll get your wish.

Deal or No Deal DS box art2. As if there aren’t enough home versions of Deal or No Deal, there’s another to add to the mix–the Deal or No Deal game for the Nintendo DS. Very little is known about this game right now. GameStop lists the DS Deal for $29.99, to be shipped on June 5, 2007. I think Deal would make a fun game for the Wii, with Miis on your system taking the place of some models. When I find more info for the DS Deal game, it will be posted here.
