1a. This might quell the cancellation rumors of 1 vs. 100. A new 1 vs. 100 jigsaw puzzle/game is available in stores. (I will let the idea of a game show jigsaw puzzle soak into your head.) Since I got my federal tax refund last night, I decided to spend $10 on the puzzle. I found mine at a local Toys ‘R Us. There are 100 pieces to the puzzle, and each piece has a perforated circle with a number from 1 to 100….so that would make 200 pieces. The idea is to put the puzzle together and play 1 vs. 100 with the puzzle. For each right answer, you remove certain numbers from the puzzle. After 15 or so questions, you eliminate everybody and win. It’s different. University Games deserves an A for effort. A jigsaw puzzle?!
1b. While on the topic of 1 vs. 100 and putting the kibosh on cancellation rumors, a simple Froogle search at Google returned the following 1 vs. 100 home games which should be released by July: A box game, a tabletop game, a DVD game, and a Jakks Pacific Plug and Play game. If you always wanted to see how Bob Saget looks in 8-bit glory, it appears you’ll get your wish.
2. As if there aren’t enough home versions of Deal or No Deal, there’s another to add to the mix–the Deal or No Deal game for the Nintendo DS. Very little is known about this game right now. GameStop lists the DS Deal for $29.99, to be shipped on June 5, 2007. I think Deal would make a fun game for the Wii, with Miis on your system taking the place of some models. When I find more info for the DS Deal game, it will be posted here.

1vs100 Plug N Play!? Sweeeetttt!!!! I’m there!! :D
1vs100 jigsaw puzzle? Eh, sounds like somebody’s reaching there. Of any show that a jigsaw puzzle should’ve been made from, why not Wheel!? There’s only one layout the Wheel uses, and it would test how well players really know their Wheel…
Hehehehehehehehe…

Yes, I still have my “Where in the USA is Carmen Sandiego” jigsaw puzzle… awesome :) I agree - the DVD of Deal never worked for me, so I think the Wii could easily fix all of those problems and add a nice look to it, especially with Mii action. However, I think the best strategy for a 1 vs 100 home game would involve playing against actually people - like other real people physically in the room (or over the Internet). It’s no different from Millionaire if you just play until you get 15 questions right or quit!
