Two Upcoming GSN Marathons

Here’s some information on two upcoming marathons that GSN will be presenting. First, on Memorial Day, if you need to sit and relax for a bit what better way than with Match Game? This is going to run from 9:00AM ET to 3:00PM ET. It’ll feature some of your favorite episodes with guests like Marsha Wallace, Bill Cullen, Jack Klugman, and more. All of the episodes are from the 70s Gene Rayburn edition of the popular comedy game show.

Coming up Sunday, June 1st, is going to be a Password Plus/Super Password marathon. Why, you ask? GSN is “celebrating” the return of the classic game show to the airwaves, as this is the date the show returns to CBS primetime. So really what you get to do is watch some classic episodes and then turn to CBS and curse the heavens, asking why Fremantle did this to the show. Or you may like it, whatever floats your boat. This marathon is going to feature some big wins.

Two good days for game shows…can’t wait to see whats included…according to GSNs website, PM will be included in Match Game’s and I hope they show Plus’ first episode! Two more days where my television will be locked onto game shows…great stuff!

I’m a little dissapointed they’re not showing showing classic password but whatever, it gives me something to do Sunday assuming I’m still unemployed or not working that day.

Nice to see a Password marathon celebrating the return of the show even though I was expecting one. Password is back!

I think we’d have to dig up Allen Ludden’s corpse and reanimate it to satisfy some people with Million Dollar Password….

I mean, seriously. At worst it’s a mistitled Pyramid revival, and if that’s the worst problem, we’re pretty well off.

I think as far as “Match Game” is concerned, GSN ought to wait until the first week of July to have a marathon of episodes, as July 2, 2008 marks the 35th anniversary of the first CBS airing of the show, and also July 11th was my favorite panelist Brett Somers’ birthday as well - what would be a more fitting tribute to ‘the first lady of “Match Game?”‘
