I think this was awesome, and Meredith's reaction to his strategy was amusing. Still, I would have loved it if Regis was the host for this episode. >:D

The guy clearly knows his stuff, but he fell for the classic "Millionaire" trap. You have to be very aggressive or incredibly lucky with the batch of questions you receive in order to win the million dollars. If you reason out the answers but don't confirm your suspicions with your lifelines, you'll look pretty smart for a little while, and you'll gain confidence in your ability to reason. But often there's a question that defies conventional reason, and if you're not being cautious, it will trip you up. This guy would have been better off setting his sights a little lower, recognizing that his batch of questions, while good, wasn't perfectly suited to his base of knowledge, and using his lifelines a little more liberally. Who wouldn't love a million dollars? But I'd rather have 100k, or 250, or 500 than 25.

His strategy was sound. His execution was so grating that I was really hoping he would crash and burn. Next season, they really need to visit starting the clock after the choices are read. It would make it much easier on Regis if he makes another return!

Yeah I really respect his strategy. It was very smart... but honestly, he could have done it in a much better fashion.
