Tonight: First Celebrity Jeopardy! of Season 26

Tonight is the first night of the Celebrity Jeopardy Invitational Tournament, with Wolf Blitzer (The Situation Room), Dana Delany (Desperate Housewives), and Andy Richter (The Tonight Show).  The Tonight Show shot a little bit of behind the scenes footage, which they showed last night.  Here’s the clip in its entirety, including portions of the practice game.

  • Tony DuMont says:

They had a Sexiest Man Alive category, but not one mention of Sean Connery.

"I'll take Trebek's mother for $100. Oh, my mistake, that's too much for her, isn't it, Trebek?"

  • Steve says:

Wow, Andy owned the competition. I think he'd have a legit shot on regular Jeopardy!.

Not only did he win $68,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, that amount ties Jerome Vered for 2nd biggest one-day winnings (doubled since 2001). I was hoping Andy would break Ken Jennings' record of $75K. You go, Andy!

just watched the first show on youtube (didn't bother to tape it) first off, I had Wolf Blitzer pegged as a favorite, boy did I bet on the wrong horse. and I was impressed with how they seemed to be taking it seriously. and is it just me or did the material seem a smidge tougher than usual celeb. jeopardy glad to see that. and congrats to Andy Richter on winning with $68K I think that makes him the first celeb. to break the minimum guarrantee since it got bumped to $50K
