Posted by Alex Davis as CBS, Host, The Price is Right
What the hell. What the hell. TMZ, who previously said George Hamilton was the front runner to host The Price is Right when Bob Barker retires soon. Now they are saying our pick John O’Hurley is in first place. I have nothing else to say about that issue. I’ve given up care. This is going to be going on for a long time I have a feeling. This is TMZ, so take it as bullshit.
We at BuzzerBlog would like to be the first to report that Frankenberry is now the front runner to host The Price is Right. Fremantle sources have said that while he was a long-shot, contestants and staff really connected with him a short period of time. Plus he is delicious.

that’s not what I heard….I heard it was the Trix Rabbit (Lucky the Lucky Charms mascot was considered, but the contestants were winning too much in the practice shows)…

In other news, Breakfast Cereal and TPIR fans rejoyce more as Count Chocula is slated to take over announcing duties for Rich Fields, Boo Berry will be the new sound effects person, Friut Brute becomes the new producer of the show and Friuty Yummy “Fingers” Mummy becomes new right hand woman for Mr. Brute. It is also rumored that Mr. Brutr will set up pricing in even more evil ways than the “The Dob” to get back everyone because he felt he was the most under appreciated of the group.

I’m afraid you’re all wrong. I’ve been talking to some people… and it’s all about Cap’n Crunch, baby.
Seriously, though. O’Hurley said that if elected, he may not run… in so many words.

Frankenberry? Screw him.
fakenews.moo is reporting that Tom Delgado (Measles!) is the new frontrunner to host The Price is Right.
Delgado, 22, is said to have threatened to show naked pictures of Fremantle executives to horny pre-teen boys. After threatening them, they told Delgado that he is now the lead candidate to host The Price is Right after Bob Barker retires. More on this as we get it.

I got it! Tom Delgado = Chris Hansen. Thanks for clearing that up. :-P
At least TMZ knows something about TPiR, specifically how to Flip Flop.

That’s awesome, Alex :)
And Eric, it’s scary that part of me wonders if someone considered that idea (in comment #10).

Due to the fact that we don’t have enough celebrity tabloid crapfests, TMZ is supposed to have its own show this fall.

I do not think that John O’ Hurley is good enough to host the price is right. Look at how he host the family feud, He’s jokes are very dumb and stupid. What do you think he is going to do if host the price is right. He probably put the show off of the air for good. LOL

If O’Hurley is telling bad jokes, then he’s only following the previous two hosts from this run. Both Anderson and Karn both told lame puns while tossing to commercial.

Tood Newton has more experience than O’Hurley, Steines, and Hamilton combined. His Las Vegas version of ‘Price’ has gotten rave reviews, and Newton should be the one to replace Barker. I’m rootin’ for Newton!

I’m a bit confused as to why you’re so hostile about this. There are so many other things you could devote your energy to instead of exploding at one conflicting report from one website.

I wish Tom Bergeron were available to host TPiR. He’d be perfect… perfect sarcasm and timing to keep the show moving along, and fun at the same time.

As far as I’m concerned, it’s not Newton that is getting the rave reviews in Vegas… it’s the
show. Not often do you get to see an entertaining show in Vegas and at the same time have
a chance to win thousands of dollars in prizes. Newton after these past couple of years
still doesn’t know some of the basic rules of the games… and that’s with what, an 8 game rotation… imagine having a 60 game rotation… forget about it!

This is just like the 2000 election. Gore no Bush no Gore. Now it’s Newton, no O’Hurley no Hamilton no Lopez. UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH!!!! BOTTOM LINE, MAKE SURE BEFORE YOU POST!!! I’m refering to TMZ not you.

Naw! I heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend who heard it from another that Mike Adamle’s going to host. So far he’s gone from Gladiators to glamourous women. I also heard that Chazz Princeton and Seto Kaiba are in for the running. And if you believe that, you’re likely to believe anything!

Let’s all stop the crazy. Please. No, really, please. I think Rich should be the host & Burton Richardson = new announcer. What do you think?

I wouldn’t be surprised if Drew Carey gets the job. In fact, maybe we SHOULD have a reality show to find the new host. But then, who would host the reality show? Bob Barker?

You’re right steph! The next host of TPIR is Don Imus! lol

Yeah right! If we’re voting for underdogs, my vote is for Mike Adamle. He’d make a pretty good host.

Has anyone given any consideration into having Pat Finn host TPIR? He really had a way with making things exciting on Shop ’til you Drop and also from the clips I’ve seen of the Big Spin. What do you guys think?

How about ADVERTISING CHARACTER HOLLYWOOD SQUARES with Frankenberry in the center square?

Rich Fields is a great candidate after thinking about it. I know I could do it myself being a former communication major and I have hosted the Price is Right for college homecoming events and they say, I AM LIKE BOB!!! I am not an actor, I purely just do what Bob does himself. If I can get a friend to do a demo tape for me to send to CBS and FREMANTLEMEDIA, I do it in a heartbeat. Friends that know me would say, I am pretty close to Bob Barker with charm, intensity, wits, and intelligent. I would throw in my humor to make the TPIR fun. I am giving Rich Fields credit for throwing his hat into ballgame, HE BETTER. I think he would be awesome. PAT FINN??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I don’t want George Hamilton, John O’Hurley or Todd doing this show, they will kill it with a big passion. UGH!! Thinking about all this gives me a major headache.
