Hah, Tim Vincent’s a Brit… how he got from UK cult childrens’ show Blue Peter to Access Hollywood and now to this is beyond me. I can honestly say I’ve not seen him host anything, so I can’t say what might be coming.

No, it was Dylan who got into a car accident on (IIRC) what would’ve been the second taping of the regular series.

I went to the taping of the pilots. He was better than Dylan Lane, but not by all that much. Off-camera, he showed a lot of personality and seemed very likable, but on-camera he relied too heavily on the teleprompter. They also stopped tape frequently. But who knows, maybe the producers were being perfectionists and wanted everything to be “scripted”. We’ll see how he fares on “Millionaire”.

I don’t think they chose Dylan over Tim. IIRC, it hinged on Tim not wanting to relocate to shoot the show in California.

I’m not so much worried as I am dumbfounded by the fact that they went with a virtual unknown. Al Roker is very well-known from “The Today Show” and Bergeron has three hit shows to his credit (”Squares”, “Funniest Home Videos” and now “Dancing With the Stars”). Unless you watch “Access Hollywood”… (cricket)
