Tim Vincent Hosts “Millionaire” Next Week
The co-hosts aren’t done just yet. One of our favorite stat sites, WWTBAM.Biz, has announced that Tim Vincent, an Access Hollywood correspondent, will host the final week of Who Wants to be a Millionaire? for the season, starting June 25th. Don’t know who he is? Don’t worry, not many do. I’m worried and here’s the main reason: He was the original host for GSN’s Chain Reaction. If they passed on him for Dylan Lane, that scares me a bit.
I’m not so much worried as I am dumbfounded by the fact that they went with a virtual unknown. Al Roker is very well-known from “The Today Show” and Bergeron has three hit shows to his credit (“Squares”, “Funniest Home Videos” and now “Dancing With the Stars”). Unless you watch “Access Hollywood”… (cricket)
I don’t think they chose Dylan over Tim. IIRC, it hinged on Tim not wanting to relocate to shoot the show in California.
Except for the fact that the show shoots in New York City.
And IIRC, Tim got into a car accident, causing the producers to replace him with Dylan.
No, it was Dylan who got into a car accident on (IIRC) what would’ve been the second taping of the regular series.
I went to the taping of the pilots. He was better than Dylan Lane, but not by all that much. Off-camera, he showed a lot of personality and seemed very likable, but on-camera he relied too heavily on the teleprompter. They also stopped tape frequently. But who knows, maybe the producers were being perfectionists and wanted everything to be “scripted”. We’ll see how he fares on “Millionaire”.
Hah, Tim Vincent’s a Brit… how he got from UK cult childrens’ show Blue Peter to Access Hollywood and now to this is beyond me. I can honestly say I’ve not seen him host anything, so I can’t say what might be coming.
TIM VINCENT IS GREAT!!! LOVE HIS ACCENT AND HE IS A HUNK!!!
Tim Vincent is so fine!!! The boy is sexy and charming. He’s a great choice for a guest host.
