   ummmm….pardon my knowledge of game show history…..but wasn’t the Bob Barker version originally called the New Price is Right?

   Yep you’re right..but I believe it lasted a couple years before becoming just The Price Is Right. I believe the Doug Davidson version was also called The New Price Is Right..I may be mistaken though.

   I wonder if they’ll revert back to the 1972 TNPIR logo for a little while.

   The question this puts in my mind is if our “new set” isn’t in fact largely composed of pieces from Doug Davidson’s version (would be funny if they had to re-paint the doors AGAIN though)

   Well, they’d kinda have to repaint the doors to remove the season 35 reference.

   Yeah, I should’ve remembered that. I was just pointing out that it would be humourous to see the TNPiR94 set resurrected in some fashion along with the doors because the doors ARE the 1994 doors with a different paint job.

   The Bob Barker AND Dennis James versions were known as “The New Price Is Right” from 1972 to sometime in 1973. The Doug Davidson version never aired in our locale, so I couldn’t say if
   it was officially called “The New Price is Right” or not. Maybe someone at goldenroad.net knows.

   The Davidson show was called “The New Price Is Right” audibly in the open but used “The Price Is Right” logo. Hope someone puts pics of the new set on You Tube or something.
