OK, I’m catching for heat for not enjoying “Show Me the Money” and saying it’s a halfassed combination of shows. However, being a BLOG, I figured I’d give me opinions and name a few things I actually enjoyed about “Show Me the Money”.
1- William Shatner- While he’s not tremendous, I felt that William Shatner was enjoyable to watch. He was quick, witty, and kept things going. Could they have picked better? I’m sure they could have. However, he’s just fine.
2- Difficult Questions- I still think the way they are doing this is poor, but I appreciate the fact that they are including what I think are very hard questions towards the end.
3- You have to play to the end- No show really does this anymore, and it’s rather nice. You can be safe at the start, but you can lose a bundle as it goes on. I guarantee you some people would end the game after one question the way the game is currently set up, but not going to happen. That’s an interesting idea.
4- The dancers- I’m a guy, so the dancers, IMO, are nice on the front that they are hot. I see no reason for the dancing aspect whatsoever except for a need to be different than “Deal or No Deal”, but in a guy’s standpoint, schwing.
I think my main issue is that the show had potential, but ABC took the worst parts of the international version(s) and put it on the air. It’s not the worst thing I’ve ever seen. I’m not saying that it doesn’t deserve the ratings it got. However, I am going to stick by my theory that it got those ratings because of “Dancing With the Stars” and we won’t see a second season. We could have much worse, though. We could have “Game Show Mararthon” the way it was done in season 1 again. That’s enough to scare me. There, can’t we all just get along?
Now for you guys. What are your likes and dislikes about “Show Me the Money”?

Likes: William Shatner was better than I expected, The girls (and that’s proof right there that I’m not gay.)
Dislikes: The dancing is unnecessary as you said, There is a potential for a lot of games to be anti-cliamtic, for instance let’s say a contestant lands the top 5 prizes and answers them allk right. then they’d have: 1.01 million and then if they land the next six wrong again scoring the highest amounts everytime. if my math is right that still leaves $470,000, i.e. not enough of a risk element.
The killer card rules are a little confusing if I we’re running the show. I’d keep the rule that a right answers cancels out the killer card but I’d change sudden death: what would happen is the
game is over no matter what. If the sudden death question is answered correctly. the contestant still walks away with 10% of his bank but a wrong answer loses it all.

The show will probably last the entire 6 episodes. It was featured on Best Week Ever on VH1 and Alex Davis likes that show. If it was featured on that show, it must be successful in a way.

Plus, ABC kept The Chair on for 9 weeks, and it got crap ratings.
