Stephanie, I don't think you're in a minority anymore on g-r. There has been a steadily growing number of fans who are enjoying the show. I see less and less moaning and wailing about Bob&Dob getting canned, and more and more excitement about the show. Sure, there is a small group of Negative Nellies who are still whining and complaining about anything they can, but it seems like the majority of posters, just as the show has, have moved on.

But, see, here's the thing: I've been browsing Golden Road.net's forums for quite a long time, and Steve used to not be that way. He still acted like a pompous ass, but he was more supportive of the show.

As far as I can tell, Roger Dobkowitz's firing back in 2008 was his turning point. I don't know why he changed. :(

I do visit G-R every so often…mainly for the entertainment value. I do get a sadistic chuckle from how some posters take the show…and themselves…WAY too seriously. Some of them definitely need to find a hobby…or a new favorite game show. It is kinda sad that a couple of self-absorbed conspiracy theorists have the ability to drag some of the gentler, intelligent posters down to their level of insanity. Shouting "I'm right and you're stupid" is no way to make your point.

That said, I should have said "some" G-R.net'ers" in the above post. I shouldn't condemn an entire group of fans because a few of them like to "scream at telephone poles." Most of the posters were genuinely happy that the numbers were up…as they should be. It's good for the genre over all, and will open the door for more shows.
And that's what we all want here…and on G-R.

God bless you Stephanie. I've seen nothing but moaning and groaning from the other GR.net members since Drew took over. Drew deserves this job. Bob's gone and he's never coming back. Neither is Roger. Price is still the same show. In the words of Monty Hall. "It's the same horse, It just needed a new jockey" TPIR needed a new person to steer the ship. And that person was Drew Carey. Price is still on the air and doing great in the ratings. Let's be happy about that.

Amen, Adam and Myke25! I myself am a G-R.net member but I'm nothing like the naysayers over there. I represent the "positive minority" over there who felt that TPIR was never "doomed" or "needed to be saved" since Drew took over. Look what's been happening since then – Drew has treated the entire staff and audience like family, Rich has opened up a lot more, the models are enjoying what they're doing more, and the addition of R. Brian DiPirro as director has proven to be a huge boost

I support Drew, Rich and the entire TPIR staff and congratulate them on their ratings success. Here's to many more great shows to come!

Adding to my last comment, Price feels less tired then it was during the final days of Bob's tenure. The show feels fresh and exciting again. That's a good thing.

Good news. And someone on GR.net is trying to bring down everyone's good mood. I'm sick of SteveGavazzi's shit. He needs to get his head out of his ass and enjoy the damn show. Drew is doing an fantastic job this season. The show is much smoother then S37. This is good news. Shouldn't we as game show fans be happy about this?
