“The Price is Right” and “Family Feud” Halloween Specials

Posted by Alex Davis On October - 30 - 2009

We’re right around my favorite: Halloween. It’s right before Christmas starts poking its nose in my business unwanted, so I’ll take the darkness and spook while I can. A few game shows are celebrating the holiday. First we have The Price is Right. Every year since Drew Carey has taken over they do a great job celebrating special days which is a refreshing change. They upped the ante from last year’s fantastic Halloween show. Take a look at the video below from Price’s website. Producers Kathy Greco and Mike Richards discuss all the decorations, costumes, and surprises coming your way today.

Family Feud has traditionally celebrated Halloween with lots of decorations all over the set along with host John O’Hurley dressed up in some way. I don’t think I’ll be forgetting last year when the producers somehow talked him into wearing a bear costume. Here are some pictures courtesy of the Feud showing off what you can see on the show.

I saw all 3 today. Family Feud was really good, I loved the set. John costume was really good too, very very well done. Let's Make A Deal……. not much of a differance, still people in costumes. haha. But they played halloween music during games, and I really like the "Pick the right button or the door will close" game, I really thought that was a good game that they should really bring back. Price is Right, that was the best episode I have ever seen. My favorite game is Cliff Hangers and seeing Drew dressed up as the Yodely Guy, I laughed like mad, Rich as the Wheel, the Models based off of pricing games, and the audience dressed up. I thought it was another episode of Let's Make A Deal. haha. The little bits and pieces they put into the games and One Bids and the Showcase to make it Halloween themed were awesome. I loved all 3 shows today, lets just leave it at that. haha. Happy Halloween everybody.

I think it’s a crying shame that this pagan “holiday” can be celebrated on Family Feud but they can’t acknowledge Christmas at all. BOO AND HISS!!

  7. Craig Said,

Yeah, having Christmas decorations puts everyone in a festive mood. TPIR's still the best when it comes to Christmas decorations(& leave it to them to offer the tree in the back as an IUFB at some point).
