The Comedy of Debi Gutierrez, Host of GSN’s “Hidden Agenda”
We all have different ways of communicating. Long time readers known my way of communicating is sarcasm, horrible puns, and realism. Others have different, happier ways. And my sarcasm mixed with my realism makes me more than a bit nervous about how GSN’s new show Hidden Agenda will work out. I’m a huge comedy nerd and I was a bit amazed that I never heard of the host of the show Debi Gutierrez. Frankly I felt a little bad about that. I had to go to her website to find out more. She’s got some YouTube clips of her performing. I actually find her pretty funny unlike so many other people who I can’t quite understand how they got any sort of following *coughJeffDunhamcough* *coughDaneCookcough*. Here’s a small clip below so you can see what type of person we’re in for. She’s got a show on PBS also so there’s a different, obviously cleaner side to her which is more GSN friendly. But regardless I like her so that’s one big worry off the list. Now let’s see what the show actually looks like. There’s some swearing in the clip but if you’ve stuck with me this long I’m pretty sure it doesn’t bother you.

The PBS show she hosts is called "A Place of Our Own" and it is a daily program focusing on childcare, parenting & ideas for kids starting preschool. She also subsituted for Niecy Nash on an episode of the Style Network's "Clean House" and so on down the line. I think that she has potential, but I think she may not do great despite lots of people not being familiar with this woman.
