I can’t say I don’t like ucb2912’s idea of improvement(it’s very well thought-out) but ever since I read the first notice of a 2nd season I had been thinking of my own.

What I'd do is keep the main game the same, but play for cash: $10 per letter in round 1, $50 for solving the puzzle. Double the values in round 2. I would also redo the bonus round: They get 45 seconds for free, plus 1 second for every $100 earned in the maingame. Correctly solving the bonus puzzle earns $10000, Otherwise they receive $25 per letter revealed in the question. I see no reason why they can't do this- They got no excuse seeing as they're giving away $25,000 in Without Prejudice, not to mention around $7K per episode of Chain Reaction.
