Posted by Alex Davis as Casting, Syndication, Who Wants to be a Millionaire?
<>It’s about time we found some information about the sixth season of the syndicated edition of Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, isn’t it? Not much has changed, but we do have a new themed week: TV week. According to a source who tried out, the test quizzed you on subjects all across the board; with shows like Lost, The Office, Beverly Hills 90210, Wonder Years, and more. A good deal of it apparently was recent television trivia, though. I’d be willing to bet once we get to the third tier some more of the obscure television trivia will be thrown in. Dennis Miller would probably fit in perfectly (as long as it would keep him away from Grand Slam). You can audition for the TV week on August 28th at 29th.
Not only that, we have some road audition days as well. The show will be visiting the Showcase Theater at Sycuan Casino in El Cajon, CA on August 20th. They will also be auditioning contestants at the Gila River Casino Wild Horse Pass in Chandler, AZ, on August 22nd (near Phoenix) and Medieval Times in Chicago, IL, on August 24th. We were given some more information recently from Millionaire representatives. In the road auditions, you cannot audition for the television edition. You may audition for the regular, Wedding, and Movie editions, though

If you’re a music trivia buff, you can also try the mobile game and if you’re good enough you just might see yourself on the hot seat opposite host Meredith Vieira. Click here for more information. Good luck to the show on its sixth season. It’s better now than it has ever been and I’m sure it’ll be around longer than its 2010-2011 season contract.Photo Courtesy of Valleycrest Production, Ltd

I’m seriously flirting with the idea of flying up to New York for that TV Millionaire audition. I could make a day trip for about $200, including airfare and cab fare.

That should be $250.

I auditioned for Millionaire, when the CCs (contestant coordinators) were in Charlotte on July 9th. I didn’t make it on the show, but it was worth the 95-mile drive from Greensboro. The auditions in El Cajon will be exactly the same as those in Charlotte.
Contestant wannabes will take two tests: One for Netflix Million-Dollar Movie Week, and one for regular Millionaire. Those who pass either test (or possibly both) will be interviewed by the CCs immediately after the rejects have exited the testing area. Engaged couples who want to appear on ‘Pay for your Wedding’ week can also take the test. Be forewarned, BOTH fiancees must pass the test to be considered for that special week.

The one game show that has “TV Week” and it is in New York, fantastic… man it sucks being in the Los Angeles Area. I have to settle with being smarter than a 5th grader.
But I am delighted ‘Millionaire’ has added this week, I wanted this since last year’s Music and Movie Weeks.
The “Don’t Be Distracted” week, was the lamest week though, the lights just kept going on-and-off. And still had no point.
