Horribly cheesy title aside, GSN is going to be making some classic fans very happy on Christmas by airing two classic marathons on the 24th and 25th. On December 24th will be Card Sharks featuring episodes from both the Jim Perry and Bob Eubanks eras of the show. It starts at 9AM ET and goes for eleven hours. If you’re not religious, you have 22 episodes in the Church of Jim Perry to occupy your time. There are Christmas themed episodes in this, obviously.
On the 25th, while you’re having fun with your family, many families will be fighting each other for money on Family Feud. See Christmas episodes from both the Richard Dawson and Ray Combs era of the show. This, yet again, starts at 9AM ET and stretches for eleven hours. Both of these marathons let you play online on GSN’s iTV. I think this is GSN’s make up present from making some people suffer Richard Karn’s Family Feud on Thanksgiving.

Allow me to celebrate Festivus a little early this year by airing a grievance. :)
I have nothing against marathons - as a matter of fact, I usually really like them. However, why does GSN insist on marathoning shows that are already on the schedule as a marathon (I realize that Eubanks CS isn’t on right now, but it has been rather recently). Why not air a marathon of a show that’s not in the lineup but they have rights to? We just had the Viewers’ Choice Marathon where it was clear that we want some more diversity on the network instead of watching just different eras of the same show. I’d love to hear back from someone more familiar with the industry than I am (pretty much anyone, of course!) as to why they’d opt to do this.
And just for the record, I do like both Card Sharks and the Feud, but I think that this is a wasted opportunity.

I am supprised that they will be not showing any CS episodes from the Bill Raferty era. Those were the best episodes ever made of the show, hands down!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am very excited about the CS marathon. A whole day of Card Sharks for this Card Sharks lover is a dream come true. Thanks Game Show Network.
