“Show Me the Money” Sinks 3 Weeks in a Row
For the third week in a row, “Show Me the Money” on ABC went down in ratings. The William Shatner fronted game show, which TVGuide called a ripoff of “Deal or No Deal” recently (Even though I think it’s more of a ripoff of the foreign show “Take It or Leave It” just dumbed down) scored a 5.2/8, which went down only in shares this week, which is not that great either. The show was 4th place, only beating “America’s Next Top Model” which scored a 4.0/6, all according to Zap2It. If it means anything to anyone else also, “Show Me the Money” placed last in the key demographic of 18-49. Ratings are a tiny bit fuzzy right now, but we’ll update this tomorrow once everything is more concrete.

I finally watched this show and although I usually love gameshows I didn’t care too much for this one. I just think that the questions were hard but i did like the two passes and those dancers are hot. I just think it should have been set up in a mulitple choice form like Fox game show Greed was. I dont think William Shatner was too bad as a host just didnt’ care for the show all that much but it took me a while to like Fox Greed also so maybe i will eventually enjoy the game play of this show. I think this show will get canceled and I can understand why its not all that great. but it does have it good points like i mentioned before.
At least it beat “America’s top model”. Enough of the reality crap already!
I thought it was entertaining that the returning contestant won nothing and that the second contestant almost “choked” but still won 90k.
If you can’t sit through the show: tape it and fast foward it and stop it when they have the questions and fast foward and repeat.
As someone who used to religiously love game shows, and who really likes William Shatner in Boston Legal, I am deeply saddened that this show is not more entertaining. I watched the first episode at a hotel in California, only because I only got about 15 channels there (I have digital cable with all the premiums and HD at home), but it hardly becomes a priority if I’m at home and something else is on, and if I TiVo it, I really have no desire to go back and watch it again. I am hoping that the ratings rebound, though, because I would love to see ABC get back into the swing of prime time game shows.
well Mark i dont know if Show Me the mone y will be on much longer unless the ratings improve but i read that ABC is going to have Set For Life and another game based on luck called Easy Money.
