Rumor Control: Lingo Taping in Early 2007
Take this as you want: Shandi Finnessey, co-host of Lingo and Playmania, stated in the news section of her website that Lingo will be taping after New Years, which is Q1 2007. No word on when episodes will tape. We’ll try to get more. I’m glad to see that at least one of their decent shows is being renewed. Now if only we could get “I’ve Got A Secret”.
Later tonight or early tomorrow, we will post our “Chain Reaction” article about game play changes you submitted.
Maybe I’m missing the obvious byt I don’t see where her web site says that they will be taping Lingo next year. Maybe a more direct link to the reference?
You’ve gotta be kidding me. “I’ve got a secret” a good show? Talk about butchering a classic. Glad to see Lingo’s back though. Whammy should be a show they should bring back.
Little heads up on Lingo tryouts. My best friend and I tried out for it in December of last year. We got a callback from them in January to come to the taping as the alternates for that days’ tapings. The producers or casting directors also said that if we did not replace a team that day, we are GUARANTEED to be on a taping in February. Guess what, those bitches lied to us.
So for those who want to try out and become alternates, take my advice and make sure they dont f#%! with you and your partner. Have something written and copy it. I know it’s just a game show, but I don’t like being lied to. No one does.
