Let’s step in the Buzzer flashback machine. Take a look at this post. If you didn’t care to, back in January 2006, we announced that Jim Cramer was developing a game/reality show where a group of contestants receiving money and investing it. The person with the most money at the end of the show wins. Now look at this Craigslist post. It looks extremely similar, doesn’t it? If I were betting money, I’d say this is it, but I’ve been wrong a ton. We’ll keep you posted on this story as more comes in.

Har har, betting.
It’s a simple concept, which is good, but I think it would be interesting for all of 5 minutes. It’s like watching other people play fantasy football–there’s nothing in it for the spectators.

This screams CNBC.
For those who think nothing like this could work, the counter-example is a UK show from 1999, Show Me The Money (no relation to the pile of shat on ABC), which involved five teams investing an imaginary 100k on the stock market, changing one of the five companies in their portfolio every week. They had executives from different firms pitching their company’s stock to the teams, and such was the cult following of the show that this hilariously caused the stock to soar 20% or more literally while the show aired (bear in mind, this was a live show).
