Rumor Control: “Camouflage” Host Roger Lodge
Obviously this is unconfirmed until GSN sends out an official press release, but we’re hearing from people who have auditioned for the show and/or passed the test that the host of GSN’s new original game show Camouflage is Roger Lodge. Lodge hosted the long-running reality show Blind Date and also the severely underrated ESPN’s Trivial Pursuit, which deserved a much longer run than it got. On Camouflage, contestants are given a clue and the answer is right in front of the player’s eyes. However, decoy letters are placed in the middle. The point total drops as decoy letters disappear, so the quicker a player buzzes in, the better. The winner gets to play the bonus round for $5,000. The game feels a lot like That’s The Question, to be honest.
Speaking of That’s The Question, has anyone seen the new GSN bumper where Dylan Lane does the only passable thing he’s done on the network: play a game of fake charades? I see Bob Goen guessing along with Chuck Woolery and Shandi Finnessey. Beyond Catminster, which was basically a one time thing, is he doing anything beyond That’s The Question? Maybe we will hear about a new series of episodes in July during the TCA announcements.

I was gonna guess Bob may be a candidate for camouflage but I guess I’m wrong. who else in that bumper btw, I recognize Chuck, Shandi, Bob & Dylan but there’s someone else there aswell.
I’d take Goen over Blind Date anyday.
I’ve seen Goen do dog shows in the past. I wouldn’t swear to this but I wouldn’t be surprised if he was “the voice of the Eukanuba Cup” which is a circuit of dog show events.
I’m not sure, but I think it’s the guy from the poker / blackjack / whatever gambling IDs, so I guess he’s a star of one of those shows.
I was wondering what’s that guy seating under Bob Goen but I don’t know if Roger Lodge is the host of Camflouge then give him a try before judging on anything…..
The guy that is sitting with them is A.J. Benza. He announces with Gabe Kaplan on
Highstakes Poker.
So that’s why nobody knows who he is. Thanks.
Benza used to do one of those mystery documentaries on E! as well. I think it was along the lines of celebrity scandals over the years. Now that E! is nothing more than crappy top 100 lists and Playboy model reality shows, I’m guessing it’s not up there anymore, and probably hasn’t been on the channel in a few years.
Roger Loge was a surprisingly competant host of “The Price is Right Live” and “Family Feud Live”, so I’m extremely happy for him to get this show. Even if it bombs after one season, it’s a reward for his hard work.
Dylan Lane is on a GSN promo? Yuck.
