Rich Fields Gone Wild

Posted by Alex Davis On December - 1 - 2009

richfieldslogoI’m finally back from New York and a great day on the set of Millionaire (more on that in the coming weeks).  We’ve had this video ready to show you all, though.  As many of you know The Price is Right recently released a new video game, a 2010 edition, and it’s been pretty popular as far as I can tell.  Announcer Rich Fields recently released some promotional videos for the game.  Ever wonder what Rich has to go through to announce as well as he does?  Take a look at the intense training Rich endures to make the show what it is. It features The Incredible Hulk Lou Ferrigno also. It’s a really funny video, so be sure to watch.  We’ll post more as more are released.

That was awesome. Of course, Golden-Road.net is going to bitch about it because it's from the Drew era. Some people on that board think it's poking fun at TPIR. Christ, Can't those asshats take a joke?

I think its the funniest thing I have ever seen. Those a-holes at GR.Net are ignorant. (but we knew that already)! ha
Rich is an amazing announcer, and this proves he can be funny and a decent actor too. Go Rich, and keep these things coming. Thanks for posting here too Alex, & Buzzerblog!

That's some pretty funny stuff! I like that Rich has a sense of humor about himself.

The G-R reaction is actually a bit tamer than I expected, but I only read through the first five pages (out of 10)…

No, Barker did that when he was promoted to EP in 1986, and fired everyone that disagreed with him!

  34. Stephanie Said,

I know, right? As one of the "silent positive minority" on G-R, I find it appalling that Gavazzi and his band of traditionalist snobs need something to gripe over all the time. I can't defend someone like Rich or Drew over there without someone trying to jump down my throat. I mean, what's the problem with Rich appearing in a promo series for the video game?

Believe me, I'm starting to dislike G-R more and more these days. I mostly go there for daytime chats and nothing more

Steve reminds me of the stereotypical grade school bully, and like many of his ilk, he's got a bunch of weak minded simpletons who bow to the "I once knew a stagehand and from that I wrote the FAQs" nonsense.

I later figured out later that the poster was being sarcastic and I made a mistake, but there's no need to call me a fool because of it! Have you ever made any mistakes in your own life? BTW, the Barker bitching is warranted, and that's why it's still on the GSN Forums after all of these years!

  41. Anonymous Said,

Well mistakes happen, but if you weren't so ready to Barker bitch you might have noticed it was sarcasm and this one could have been avoided. The Barker bitching is still on the GSN Forums because SOMEONE keeps somehow making every Price Is Right discussion about Barker and that's foolish. Take this discussion about Rich Fields' video for example.
