I think that the previous 2 posts really need to get it in that there is still some life in the show, though it may be in it's last legs (There the Real Housewives coming up replacing the now goner Bonnie Hunt Show) and MomLogic which I think will only air in half of the markets. But I think that this show needs some new life for it to be considered another season. If it's gone, well there's the My Network TV service since it'll most llikely go there.

For me, DOND is starting to dry out since Real Housewives is taking over Bonnie’s slot when she goes next year and MomLogic will only take over the 1st part of DoND’s slot in some markets, but I do see life in the show since it is getting a 3rd season with the ratings not doing all that bad. 1.3 is great for some show, but I think since the show itself is trying not to dry out quickly. I’m sure though it’s on it’s last legs, if it does get canned, it will be a sad 5 year end to the show, but I do see life in it still..

I think it's about time DoND left our screens. They've done every gimmick imaginable, and quite frankly, it's all starting to become repetitive, stale, and just downright stupid. Enough is enough. Just end it already.

That was the premise of the original Deal Wheel: after playing, you drop the ball in the wheel. There were (I think) 12 *x2* spaces, 4 *x3* spaces, and 8 *1/2* spaces. Whatever you won was either multiplied or halved.

There was an original gimmick called "Double or Nothing", which was an import from Austrailia. On the Aussie version, after the game was over, you could wager any or all of your winnings on two cases. One has the word "Double" the other "Nothing". Pick Double and your wager is doubled, pick Nothing and lose your wager. Really simple. Then the US version screwed it up by forcing you to either play all your winnings or not play at all. As far as I remember, nobody risked their money. Not one.

I too hope for a third season of Deal. I would like to see them try more things with DEAL without getting too gimmicky which is what killed the primetime version. How about at the end of the game where you get the chance to play a game called Double or half. Meeting there are six total cases three of them say double and three say half. Whichever you find is what happens to you. For example if you won $21,000 and you find a half you would then drop to $10,500 where as if you find a double you'd win $42,000. Other gameshows I actually enjoy the syndicated version of Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader better than the primetime version. I like that you have to answer all ten questions. Millionaire I'm getting use to the clock deal and if you think about it when you play Millionaire on video games you have 30 seconds to give an answer. .

I agree Devares, stop spoiling where the $1,000,000 is, or what was really in the contestants case the entire time. The whole reason I watch is to be just as surprised as the contestant.

I like when they have "theme weeks" like Halloween and presumably Christmas.

Here are some "gimmicks" that might work:
Having a "Case Guess" being featured every so often
Fridays being "Double Deals" where the values are doubled
Replacing one of the cases with a "Prize" (Like the HP systems in Season 1)
"Fill-In" Celebrity Hosts for the week like on Millionaire.
The ability to switch cases at the end of the show (again)
A "x2" or "1/2" choice?

That’s good news. But, should there be a third season of Daytime Deal, they should adopt the changes from the Austrialian version. I heard that the ratings for 5th grader’s at 1.0 in syndication only, which still isn’t bad (some of the smaller and mid-major markets have dropped My Network TV after it became a “Programming Service”). But, all in all, not a bad week on the game show front.
