Ratings Report: “Millionaire” Hits Season High
Ratings for the syndicated game shows have been updated, and for the week ending October 24th, Who Wants to be a Millionaire came out on top. It rose a very nice 10% to a 2.3. It’s the highest rating the show has had in nine weeks, according to Broadcasting and Cable. I think the ratings have gone on long enough right now to cement the fact that the people flipping out about the format change and crying doom are wrong. It’s doing just fine.
It hasn’t breathed huge new life in terms of nationally metered ratings into the show, but if anyone realistically thought ratings were going to sky rocket suddenly they were delusional. The show is getting along fine, people are enjoying it, and I imagine we’ll be seeing more of it if it keeps this up. By the way, did you see the show today? Pretty exciting episode. November’s going to be a big month for the show so keep watching. Millionaire celebrates its 1,500th episode this Friday.
The other shows were pretty level. Wheel of Fortune remains in first place as always but dropped 5% to a 6.1. Jeopardy! lost just 2% to a 5.4. Family Feud stayed flat as it has for a bit at a 1.5. The show is having a special TNA week for charity all this week so be sure to check it out. Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader seems to be struggling this season, staying flat at a 0.9 which is the same rating that Don’t Forget The Lyrics has.

Of course, they’ll continue to flip out. They’ll probably insist that there was some kind of error in the ratings, or something like that. -_-;
