Tell your friends and family to tune in to the season finale of Million Dollar Mind Game at 4:00PM ET/2:00PM PT on ABC. We’ll have a recap of the episode later, but what did you think?

I saw the preview for this last week and it is going to be an interesting finale to say the least!!!!! I will hold off on my thoughts until after the show airs.
Brad Rutter was on Jeopardy, then on NBC’s 1 VS 100, and now Million Dollar Mind Game. Some people are lucky enough to get on one game show, never mind three. Vernon made it clear multiple times during the episode that there was added pressure on Brad, since he already had accumulated enough money on Jeopardy to retire, whilst the other team players really needed the money.
It was a very exciting episode nonetheless. The team won $600,000 and was ready to tackle the $1,000,000 question with only 1 incorrect answer and all 3 helps remaining. Nevertheless, the team unanimously decided to quit with their $600,000 winnings — a decision that the Video Gaming Team in episodes 2 and 3 most likely regret to this day, because as we know, they lost $600,000 due to one of their team members choosing to continue on in the game.
Mind you, tonight’s Pub Quiz Team was in better shape than the Video Gaming Team was at, during this level of the game. But they didn’t get greedy. They decided to walk away with $100,000 each, instead of risking it to possibly walk away with $166,666 each. Good for them. Greed is the demise of many people in this day and age.
I hope ABC will look at the buzz being generated by Million Dollar Mind Game, and the lack of buzz being generated by You Deserve It, and re-think their decision about which of these game shows deserves a primetime slot.
WOW!!! Just WOW!!! This show is so AWESOME it CANNOT go away!!!!
I’m going to do whatever I can to keep this quiz format alive — somehow.
I know the odds aren’t completely favourable, but c’mon – that was a disappointing end. I feel robbed.
What happened david cause i wasnt able to see it
I kind of feel the same way. The format fixes a lot of problems that other money-tree setups have had, but the way that game finished feels really unsatisfying. Insomuch as the riddles are the star of the show, I thought it was a pretty good episode though.
The standard kudos and criticisms still apply to this episode — Vernon Kay seems to do a good job working the table after the answer has been given, but is jarring when he acts up or yells, the redubs are bad, contestant selection was good.
I’m sure the A2 track was needed because they had to cut out a lot of the between-question banter. If you listen to the first few episodes of Deal or No Deal, 1 vs 100, and Million Dollar Password, they have the same annoyance.
There were three Jeopardy champions on this episode. In addition to Brad Rutter, there’s Alan Bailey (a five-time champion who was on the Tournament of Champions) as well as Ethan Brosowsky, a one-time winner.. Adam Stein was a finalist on Spielberg’s On the Lot show.
Wow! Great puzzles. I love the concept. It was just a 4 episode run? Bummer. I wish the earlier episodes were on Hulu or , as today’s episode was the first one I watched… and now it’s over.
6 episodes in total. Some of the episodes are on Youtube…or were on Youtube…not sure if they’re still there or not.
Hey folks, I’ve posted the video of the episode at http://youtu.be/IWQ5AROEQ7I
I thought they were a great team. The questions were easier than what my team (the video gamers) got. The last 3-4 questions were gimmies. I hope that the 60 seconds was edited and rearranged in a way that it looked like it took longer to come up with the answer than it actually did, like they did with my team.
And I should point out that I had the frequent flier miles answer immediately :-)
Chad — do you think that the lack of winners on the first day of taping prompted the producers to make the questions easier on the second day of taping? From comments on the internet, it seems that your team and the Texas team both lost big on the first day of taping. But then everyone else won!
