Our friends at Golden-Road.net have helped us get through a very slow news period: The Price is Right will resume taping on August 15th with new host Drew Carey and the updated set/music as Mike Klauss previously stated. When ticket information is released, we will publish the information. Speaking of which, Drew Carey has stated that they are trying to get the show to travel next season, with New York as a likely destination. I’m at least hoping this one comes true. Making the show more accesable for those who’d rather not spend nights on concrete and spend an assload of money to get to LA can’t hurt at all.
Also, according to the same source, Family Feud will officially be moving to Studio 33, the same studio as The Price is Right, very soon. The WWE shows will start taping on August 9th and will tape every Thursday from there on, so it works in Price’s schedule. We’ll try to get official confirmation ASAP. Not only that, Real Time with Bill Maher, one of my favorite shows, resumes going live from Studio 33 starting August 24th as well. Looks like there’s a full schedule for that studio coming up. And hey, at least John O’Hurley gets to host what he’s good at on that stage.

It would be great if TRiP can to the Big Apple, living in Massachusetts I could just hop on a bus for $30 and wait in line to see the show. Though I bet there will be thousands of people like me doing the same thing.
Speaking of golden-road.net, is anyone having problems accessing the website? I keep getting ‘Incorrect Login’ errors when I try to get on the site.
I’m in such a good mood today…………Must be K.G. coming to my town! (WOOT WOOT WOOOOOOOT!) :D
Glad that the taping schedule is set. Again, can’t wait for S36 of TPIR, and for that matter S2 of John O’Hurley’s Feud!
Being from Baltimore, that would be an excellent thing to happen. Even just to get in the audience would be well enough for me. I’m definitely looking forward to finding out when that happens.
Tickets are available online at http://www.cbs.com/daytime/price/tickets. Although that actual site does not state taping days have been set, go into the online ticketing system, and switch to “August”.
I’m for TPiR touring. If WOF and Jeopardy can, why not TPiR?
Why not let TPiR travel? New York is a mere 12 hours by train from Toronto (with a change at Niagara Falls), and it would be cool to do that rather than spend about $500-$600 for round-trip airfare to LA plus accommodation. They’ve at least got to stop in Cleveland and make it a Carey/Fields homecoming
I think that the PIR having some shows in NYC is a good idea. It will allow the midwest and east coast people get a chance to go play the game without spending shitloads of money to get there. Although, I live in Chicago and it will still be pretty expensive…but $200 compared to $600 round trip is a lot better.
I am not sure how I feel about Drew Carey hosting the show or the set changes (although I haven’t seem them yet) I feel like when producers do set changes it takes away from the show a little. Examples, Pyramid, Family Feud. I just hope they don’t make any drastic changes to the set…where it looks cheesy (i.e. FAMILY FEUD) but I am going to give both a change. I just have to say that PIR is a classic, I just don’t want to see it crash and burn by putting a ridiculous group of hosts on the show and hope that eventually they get a good pick (e.g. FAMILY FEUD!!!!)
P.S. Merv Griffin died this morning. :-(
Family Feud is going back to Television City? I have been watching the show for the past few days, and I just found out that they are still at Tribune. When will they get to CBS and when will it air?
Is the Price is right still using eggcrates when drew carey takes over?
