“Price is Right” Had a Little Wreck Today

Posted by Alex Davis On October - 26 - 2009

It’s always fun seeing bloopers make it to air.  Here’s one that came from today’s episode of The Price is Right.  When showing off the next prize to bid on, a skateboard, prize model Lanisha got a bit out of control on it and wrecked into the set.  It’s pretty funny.  Take a look.

  1. George Said,

This looks forced, IMO. Not funny to me… Why do senile wing-nuts find it funny

  2. Kevin Said,

I don't think it's forced. Even if it is, it's the first blooper like this in so long…accept it and just have fun with it man. Plus Lanisha is AWESOME! haha. This was cute…

Epic Win for Adam. (Go, Lanisha! : ) )

I always wondered why they went with the Venetian Blinds design for those doors…

  6. DeVares Said,

It was funny. They should’ve had a disclaimer at the end of the show: No models were harmed in filming of this IUFB.

  7. Jay Said,

I agree with Kevin. It didn't looked forced at all. Why would she intentionally wipeout? Besides, it joins a long list of TPIR bloopers.

  13. DENo1MatchGameFan Said,

This was good, but it still doesn't top the Lucky 7 incident in the late 90's where Janice ran into the set with a van, and Rod Roddy forgot to read the plug for it – now that one WAS funny! And today is a day of remembering, as we lost 'the illustrious one', Rod Roddy, to breast and colon cancer this date six long years ago… Bob Barker may have hated him, but fans of "TPIR", "Press Your Luck", and "Soap" still love him to this day!

As a senile wing-nut myself, I take offense at that remark. Models doing slapstick is comedy gold! Lighten up.

Bob didn't like him? I must have missed that.

Lanisha's smiling in that video, but off-camera, you know she's all like, "Et tu, Janice Penningtion!?! </Sarcasm>" or "Where's my agent!?! I'm not paid enough to do stuff like this!!!"

  19. George Said,

I'm sorry to be offensive to senile wing-nuts; I knew I should have said "telephone pole screamers" instead. My bad!

  20. DENo1MatchGameFan Said,

That's why his face time was taken away in 2001, as Rod's agent went to Barker to ask that he and the other models get the same rate of pay on the Million Dollar Specials as they did on the regular show, and when Barker said no, he took Rod's camera time away from him, and when Barker went to the hospital to 'visit' Rod when he was sick, it was for PR purposes only, as Barker couldn't stand him. Due to these actions, Rod died a bitter and angry man because of them, but lucky other cast members of the show still stood by him during his illness. The spin that Fremantle didn't let announcers on camera was just that – nothing more!

  24. George Said,

Just do not pay attention to "The #1 Match Game Fan." He will spread conclusions, if not gossip, about Bob, even if Bob is just some ego-maniac on Earth.

  25. Alan Mitsugi Said,

I thought it was good for a laugh…….Lanisha, look where you are going….it would have been MORE funny if she went THROUGH the doors :)

  26. DENo1MatchGameFan Said,

Sorry George – I know people from behind the scenes who can confirm this information, and I also know the people who spent time with Rod. I'm not spreading 'conclusions' or 'gossip' – just the facts. Just face it George – you are one of the people (like the majority, but not ALL) of the posters on Golden Road who hold Bob as 'the god of "TPIR"' and that he and his stooge Roger can't do anything wrong, so I'm just going to leave it at that, and let everyone else comment on the original post. Court documents are placed all over the internet in concern to Barker being an 'ego-maniac', and if you haven't read them after the last 16 years, then YOU are the one that is misinformed – not me!

Posted on October 28th, 2009 at 8:22 pm

  27. George Said,

No, no. I'm not one of posters from Golden Road right now; "banned" is the right word as you say it. So far I do not like Steve and everybody who moderate Golden Road. However, you need to analyze your depth of hatred on Bob because everyone has heard enough of anti-Bob messages in GSN, even if everything about Bob is true.

I did read them, and sometimes they are very desired to be verified for neutrality and reliability, such as Golden Road and those who were involved in Bob Barker v employees of The Price is Right, especially with settlements. Not to mention everybody who hates Bob with lots of passion, especially you.

As for Rod and those who have spoken with him, I would like to know EVERYTHING within those conversations and EXACT dialogue of them, so I have to clarify what was asked and answered.

  28. atty1day Said,

Great! Glad to hear it George. I always like when someone will take initiative and actually do the work BEFORE they condemn something as rumor.

The testimony regarding Roddy, the argument that precipitated Barker cancelling his closeups, and the EXACT dialogue of those who spoke with Roddy can be found in; Los Angeles Superior Court 'Jordan v. Barker' and also 'Reigert v. Barker'.

Go get 'em George! (It's very "clarifying' reading.)

  29. George Said,

I tried Googling them, and then I realized that you have not linked me into these transcripts. Also, you have never interviewed those who testified and sued and interviewed with the crew.

  32. Rick Said,

Lanisha is incredibly beautiful, but more importantly – what a great personality and sense of humor.
She clearly doesn't take herself too seriously and knows how to have fun with her work. And the audience loves it.
TV needs more like her. . .
