I was one of the minority who thought Drew would be a great choice from the beginning, mainly because of Power of 10 he seemed to genuinely enjoy the game; not being the host, but the actual game, which is crucial for being a good TPiR host. However, when he started I was immediately turned off with his run-of-the-mill run-through-the-motions hosting style. This video gives me renewed hope, though. Maybe I will have to start DVRing the show again.
I just LOVE gag reels! I remember the one they had when Bob Barker was retiring. I also love those game show “gone bananas” specials.
Now, is it me, or have the contestants on “Price” gotten dumber and louder I don’t recall the same level of hysteria when Bob Barker was hosting. Drew is relatively low-key by comparison so it seems easy for contestants to mob and attack him. Love that good-natured Midwestern persona!
Well as I go into a new chapter in my life, let me be the first to say that Drew Care does hold his own fort of the show. Sure, he may be monotonus and dull but at least he does not try to imitate Bob Barker and get so nervous like Richard Karn did on Family Feud from 02-06, but at least the gag reel shows how enjoyable Drew is with The Price is Right. I do hope that the show can survive despite the canning of Roger Dobkowitz, I may have to watch something else if TPIR does something way out of proportion in the new season, but this video is definitely a keeper.
The contestants on TPIR are of all kinds: Smart, Excitable, Obnoxious, ridiculous, Loyal friends and True, not-so loyal, Great players, bad players, Smart bidders, stupid bidders, Strategic, fat, skinny, short, tall, but most of all, FUN!
It was a great year for the show, and I hope it gets better, even with any changes they implement. TPIR will be fine, let’s look forward to Season 37, until then, cool your jets.
That was hilarious! The gynecolcgist named Bummer! (And even better, he got on stage with a bid of–I’m not making this up—$69!)
Y’know, now that Drew’s on, there are more funny moments, so they should do this after every season!
I’ll just say it, Drew loves this show, I remember this entire season everyone’s going for “He’s not Bob Barker” but he made the show his own…
And I hope he could host this show for another 35 years!
I’m not a big Drew Carey fan, but there were a couple of good ones in there.
this is what I’ve been saying for a while now, Drew’s a little stiff right now but give him some time and he’ll be awesome.
my fave in that was the woman who told Drew he was a sexy beast and Drew then says “we’re going to give you an eye exam”
Hilarious! Great stuff. They did well in picking Drew as host, I will still contend.
Might I add, the Cliffhangers dance was one of my favorites, as well as the “Alakazam-lift-up-the-lid” moment.
For those still predicting doom and gloom following Roger’s departure, I hope this compilation of clips provides some hope.
Indeed, Drew’s still got some things to iron out. But give him time. As long as he’s around, there’ll still be more fun and laughs on the horizon.
To put it another way, as a great American once said, “‘The Price’ will be just fine — so don’t worry about it.”

Good to see Roger in there. He’ll definitely be missed.
