“Price is Right” and “Let’s Make A Deal” Host Giant Earth Day Specials
We’ve teased it a lot on Facebook and Twitter, but we’ll finally let you know more. CBS has announced the annual The Price is Right Earth Day special on Thursday, April 22nd. Its companion show Let’s Make A Deal is getting in on the act as well. This year, Price will probably have its most exciting episode of the season on Earth Day. The show will be giving away eco-friendly items like cell phones and wallets from recycled materials, wind turbines, and more like that.
The biggest part of the show will come in the first game. Price will give away its most expensive prize ever offered. It’s a car that has a value of more than $100,000. One contestant will be playing for this car: a Tesla Electric Roadster. When I was first told about this and actually saw the car my jaw literally dropped. This car makes up for the years of stupid things like grandfather clocks we were subjected to for so long. It’s a mind blowing car and you won’t want to miss the contestant playing for it.
Let’s Make A Deal, hosted by Wayne Brady, will also be getting in on the act. Eco friendly trips will be offered and audience members will be getting things made from previously recycled materials like wallets, handbags, purses, and that sort of thing. The Big Deal will attempt to give one lucky contestant a complete green home makeover worth over $25,000.
You won’t want to miss these two episodes. I’ve heard they are great.

Careful with the wording – "give away" implies that the game was actually won. Maybe you meant to imply that, but I dunno.
FYI, I was AT "The Price is Right" during this "Price" episode. The energy there was AMAZING!!! No spoilers, but…everyone MUST see the Tesla portion…the episode, as a whole, was fun too! WATCH IT!!! :D

Millionaire promoted a "Million Dollar moment" which was a loss, so I wouldn't read too much into it.

That Tesla Electric Roadster makes the Dodge Viper pale in comparison. One look at that picture made me think why it wasn't featured a few years ago on an MDS. Oh well.
Are you sure the Tesla roadster is the most expensive prize to date? I do recall in the past that while Bob Barker was still hosting, they tried to give away a motor home worth over $100,000 during one of their Million Dollar Spectaculars. You may want to look into that. Just thought I'd throw that out there, Alex.

When Rhett lost the Tesla, we discussed for a good 3 minutes during the break how horrible the taxes AND insurance would've been for him, a 20-year old college student. It might be a good thing he didn't win it…
