Hi Everyone

Bingo America looks interesting to say the least.
I agree a new season of Lingo for sure, it would be a
great hour of game shows on GSN.
Bingo - Lingo or Lingo- Bingo
Sounds good to me.

A good breakdown might be something like this...

4- $100K
6- $50K
7- CAR (or $25K)
10- $10K
12- $5K
12- TRIP
12- $1000
12- $500

So the game wold go at least 2, but no more than 9 picks....but there's a better than a 1 in 5,550 shot to win the $100K with this setup- I suspect that they want a reasonable chance that someone wins the top prize in this set of 40 shows (Russian Roulette had one in each of its two seasons)...

maybe there are some "bonus balls" in the drum that add to the bank like say 450 there, $100 there,

I guess the bonus game is basically the winner's baord from sale of the century with more numbers, on $oc a double win as been done before at least once so it can certainly happen here. unless there's a frequency like Joe Mello said by my math the odds of getting the $100K are 5,550 to 1 which really isn't terrible that's better than the lottery.

I like the front game. It's a good combination of skill and luck and there's just enough incentive to answer "dead draw" questions. I wonder if the 3rd game of a match is modified to go quicker a la Card Sharks.

I don't mind the bonus round that much because it's a straight-up reward round. Now, common sense would say that it's very unlikely that there are 37 different prizes on the board. Maybe 10-20 is the real number with varying frequencies.

You know, based on the concept, either there's a lot of filler if someone wins 2-0, or we might see....wait for it.... games straddled over two shows!

I was thinking it was X dollars times the number on the ball added to the bank myself...

It looks enjoyable at least; I just hope that the Pacific time zone will be allowed to join in on the fun in one way or another without relying on my cable company (Cox) to offer a east-coast feed of GSN, which I don't think it will do anytime soon...

The bank gets as high as it does because they start you off with a base sum - a "gift" from Patrick ;)

Yes, I could see this being promoted as the "Lingo - Bingo Power Hour!" or something like that. And I agree, Alex, generally the best bonus round games follow directly from the main game. In my opinion, Wheel, Password Plus, and Blockbusters have/had the right idea - Tic Tac Dough and Chain Reaction (although 'Go' works well on its own) seemed to be thrown in for lack of a better idea.
