BCI Announces New Game Show DVDs

The “Match Game” DVD was a success, so obviously we will be having more game shows on DVD. More official announcements will be made today, but BCI is said to be launching “The Price is Right” and “Family Feud” on DVD in the upcoming future. Each set will be a “best of”, containing some of each series’ most memorable and greatest moments. No projected launch date has been announced yet, but we’ll keep filling you in as news comes in. BCI recently landed a five year deal with Fremantle to do more DVD collections from their extensive episode archives. NATPE is today, Wednesday, and Thursday, so we’ll have constant updates.

With there being 35 years of Price Is Right episodes, I will like to see them do DVD’s seperated by decade: The 70′s, The 80′s The 90′s etc Would love to see some of the original half hour episodes along the the Dennis James syndicated version. Another game that deserves inclusion in a DVD box set:CONCENTRATION.

I really would like to see a “best of” Press Your Luck DVD set in the near future. Probably the best of 1983, 1984, 1985, and 1986 – possibly in separate volumes. Since GSN has not yet acquired any of the episodes beyond November 15, 1985, it really would be cool to see those episodes since I haven’t seen them on television in over 20 years!
