Well, the players get to play on that show up to 4 times, their first time for $ 10,000, a winner's qualifying round (for game winners) for another $ 10,000, a semi-final Tournament of Champions for $ 15,000 and the finale for $ 20,000....so if they knew their stuff, a player could walk away with $ 55,000. But as you see in the bonus round, the chances of someone getting it within the 9 seconds to earn the max is almost impossible. I think the winner of the finale took over about $ 24,000 in his 4 appearences. This game could work in the states, with a bigger jackpot :)

It is a pretty good show up here in Canada. It airs on sattelite channel TVTropolis, which normally airs reruns of popular shows from about the past 20 years. I think Americans might enjoy it. It does have interesting game play. To have it replace "Crosswords", I would say no. To have it replace "Temptation", I would say a very strong yes.

I'm also from canada and I liek the show, but here's the major flaw iMO, when you're being asked a question, you can easily screw the person isnide the box of a few seconds, by stalling, either by saying um, uh, or that you didn't hear them. 5 seconds also, IMO is not enough of a penalty since Sam takes nearly that long to explain it. and yes the $10K has never been won since it's all but impossible and you've got to get really lucky in the bonus round to get at least $7,000. most times the winner gets between $4K and $6K. now they did do a tournament of champions in the 2nd season, and they upped the bonus round prize in later rounds, so moneywise it wasn't too bad then.

I love this show, and I'm pretty excited at it's potential move across the border. It's really easy to play along with at home. And I completely agree with Whammy - the prize amount is extremely high for a Canadian game show. We're known for giving away gift certificates, appliances, and amounts of cash that could easily be consumed by a monthly grocery bill.

Just keep your fingers crossed that your local stations will opt for this over "Style by Jury," which is just awful. Truly, truly awful.

Shon said, "but there is something about the game play or production values that feels a little dull." That's the production, and it's a big reason why most Canadian shows just don't fare that well, even here at home.

from canada, and ive seen it, but when i saw the contestant has to pick from the questions the show provides i gave up on it, if it were me i would want to ask my own questions. being flustered about what to ask is part of what the conestants have to fight through i think, but penalizing the others if you dont know elements of it (was it created in the 70s) is the best thing to do

It's kind of like "20 Questions", but you're timed. Also, an announced top prize of $10,000 (which is insanely high for a Canadian show) has never been won. Hey, at least the 10 large isn't in Canadian Tire money. Happy 4th to all my neighbours south of the border.

Okay, it's a good show, kinda like a form of "Television Guess Who" game, I've seen it down here in Canada, and it is interesting.

The 2nd season (which these videos are from) were much of an improvement over the last season (although the time and score graphics, looked uglier for Season 2 than in Season 1, which was alot cleaner and slicker looking)

Still, hope you all love it, lol.

This is light years ahead of Crosswords but there is something about the game play or production values that feels a little dull, I can’t pin point what it is yet (as soon as I can figure out what it is, I’ll post it).

Overall it’s a solid show and I’d give it a 7 out of 10.

ItB is Canadian. But based on the few clips I've seen, the Q&A material is based on shows that are as American as apple pie.

I'd like to point out this is from the flashier 2nd series of ItB.

The first series had way WAY less flash.

It's a great show... but you couldn't tell from this particular episode at ALL.

I mean, the supposed "expert" show, and out of seven rounds they actually get only two right topic answers? TWO?

Surely there's a better clip or three than these to show off the show successfully. Because the show is MUCH better than this particular exercise in futility.

This is way more enjoyable than Crosswords...to me at least. Just the whole focusing on pop culture rather than vocabulary and what not should appeal to more people and this could turn up huge if markets give it a chance. It looks much more enjoyable from a play at home standpoint and I would love to see my channels pick this up instead of the "Best of" Crossword package they were offering.
