“Power of 10″ Contestant Call
Interested in winning a massive sum of money totaling $10,000,000? If so, CBS has a new show for you. Power of 10 sees contestants trying to predict the results of a survey within a certain range. The first right answer gives you $1,000 with each right answer multiplying your money by 10 for a total of $10,000,000. Drew Carey will host this new game show which will debut sometime this summer, as of now. That means they will be picking contestants excessively soon. You have literally no time to stall. For more information, contact Embassy Row via their website. Just go to Casting and click on “Power of 10″. You can also contact the casting department at 1-877-949-POWER. Tell them BuzzerBlog sent you. Anyone planning on applying for this one? I know I’ll at least be in the audience for the taping, whenever that may be.

D’OOOOHHHHH!!!
So much for trying out for that. SPE peeps can’t apply. Oh well, I still got 1 vs 100.
Drew Carey is just plain sad, he sucks
I think I know how the introduction sequence will finish…
You mean the lead-in to the show will be going through the ’0′? heh heh. Wouldn’t suprise me.
I sent an application to the show back in February/March, when Embassy Row first announced the pilot. I didn’t send a video, but I did send an e-mail wishing them well on the pilot.
Two days ago, I received a new e-mail from Embassy Row, asking me to send them a video by the end of the week. Not a fan of the “submit a video” philosophy of some shows, but I may give this a shot.
Now to find a video camera :)
If this is the same casting team that casted for Chain Reaction, good luck unless you’re really really good looking and really really stupid, lol
I sadly predict another rich list…
—-
2 people play.
1 person is asked a percentage question
Opponent Guesses “Higher” or “Lower”
Like “How Many Americans Believe Paris Hilton Should Go To Jail?”
And If They Are Right, They Get ONE POINT
and they continue going back and forth until someone scores “10 points” or most likely 2 out of 3.
The Winner Gets To Play “The Power of 10″
With $1,000
$10,000
$100,000
$1,000,000
and $10,000,000
The First Survey Question Asked Will Be Easy… (most likely asked to 10 people)
“Name a Famous Celebrity With The Last Name Diddy”
To Increasing Difficulty
“A Country Western Singer”
“Something You Take To The Beach”
“A Social-Network Website”
If they get “Top Answer” they keep going…
If They Are Stumped, They Ask Supporters and The Audience During The Game (Not As A Lifeline) for help…
Then Drew Carrey Will Ask “Did _____ Top The Ten?” and we will find out after a commercial break….
Afterwards, if right, we could either continue with the Tower of 10, or Walk-Out.
JUST A GUESS
I am in no way affiliated with Embessy Row or CBS, i am just assuming what “Power of 10″ might be, and it sounds like Rich List.
They asked me for an interview basedly solely on my online application, without a video. It’s on the 27th.
I recieved a phone call after they reviewed my application. They asked me to send in a 3 minute video audition. I haven’t heard a thing from them. oh well.
My experience is the same as Steph’s. I did the online application on the 6th, sent in an audition tape that arrived on the 9th, and haven’t heard back. I did talk to one of the casting folks, and they said they would begin taping in New York in mid-July.
Has anyone gotten any further than Scott’s interview request? It would be great if folks could post here with their progress!
I am in pretty much the same position as both of you, Matt and Steph, but I sent in my video a couple of months ago. I called POT recently as a follow up and they dug my tape out, so I know they have it. I was told the same thing about when the taping will start.
As far as others go, I don’t know what the deal is, but apparently this woman in Texas has something they really really want, as they have called her three times!!
