Comments on: “Password” and “Trivial Pursuit” Casting

I was asked to try out at the Chicago open call. Have any of you ever done this? If so, can you tell me how early I should arrive to get a slot. The audition is at 9. Would 7 be early enough? I’ve heard there can be hundreds of people trying out and only a few get opportunities.

Anything you could tell me about this would be most welcome. The audition is Saturday.

I guess, it’s safe to assume they only want US residents, so I guess I’ll have to wait for MDP Canada. meh.. just as well no money to travel anyway.

When I contacted MDP about tryouts during the first season, a contestant coordinator admitted that it was only looking for people in the NYC area to try out, but would travel to other cities if another season was picked up. Now that it has, it’s good to see at least three cities getting tryout opportunities.

Haven’t heard before that the show will tape in LA next month. If so, I hope it will be in a studio, not a sizable theatre.

This new round of MDP shows will be taped in early August in Los Angeles. Regis will be spending a long weekend in LA to do the shows.

Does it strike anyone else but me as odd that for a show taped in NY *MDP*, that the great majority of their casting calls, at least but what I’ve seen, have been on the West Coast? I assure you there are plenty of decent people on the East Coast, and a number of those who actually play the game well, even if that’s not what ya’ll are looking for…

If MDP were to have a casting call in Philly, NY, DC, Atlantic City, Norfolk, or anywhere in the Mid-Atlantic region, I’d certainly try out, but I see no info saying such…

Hope MDP comes to Atlanta, or somewhere in the South, for a contestant search.

As for Trivial Pursuit, any chance for “America’s Players” tryouts in Atlanta?
