Would love to see either, Classic Concentration, or Tic Tac Dough come out on DVD. Card Sharks would be great as well.

Mr. Quiz -

You forgot about Fannie Flagg and Joyce Bullifant, as they sparred with Brett just as much as Betty did - Betty just got the better 'digs' at Brett!

Hey, DEN01...
As they say at the deli counter, "take a number and stand on line..." You're not the only one who'd like to see this happen. While it's anyone's guess as to whether or not BCI would focus more on episodes from the network version, I think we can all bet the ranch, and everything on it, that there'll be some kind of tribute to Brett and Charles. Let's face it; if not, it'd be both shameful and even disrespectful. Personally, I'd rather see Betty White be the one to do the tribute. True, Dawson's the "last link on the chain," but Ms. White's presence on MATCH GAME was no less indelible. After all, wasn't it she who was Brett's (primary) female sparring partner?

I would like BCI Eclipse to put out "The Best Of Match Game, Vol. 2" with more diverse episodes from the 1973-79 CBS daytime and 1975-79 "PM" run, and focus less on the syndicated versions of both shows. It would also be nice to have a tribute to Brett Somers and Charles Nelson Reilly on the release, and if they are able, have either Betty White or (just MAYBE) Richard Dawson do commentary on it as well.

I think we need to keep things in perspective, here. I've noticed that while this is more or less a "wish list" of game shows we'd like to see on DVD, I think we need to remember the operative word here, is "classic." ...Meaning, that these shows had to have been on the air for way more than 13-26 weeks; and by definition, they had to be considered "classic," and NOT by the show's fan base.
Example: one show during the '70s I could simply never get enough of, was "The Magnificent Marble Machine." For those unfamiliar with this NBC game, produced by Hatter-Quigley, two teams (a celebrity and a civilian contestant; eventually, the "all-star/celebrity" format was employed) tried to come up with answers from wordplay-based clues. The winning team then tried to win cash and prizes playing the world's largest pinball machine (at the time, anyway). Sadly, it was panned up and down, and it only lasted as long as it did (albeit in reruns), was on account of a technicians' strike, which affected NBC.

I also think it needs to be kept in mind as to whether or not the tapes/kinescopes of a given show still exist, and if there are enough to make compiling a DVD set worthwhile.

Card Sharks ( Perry version, Eubanks Version and Raffety Version)

Chain Reaction ( Cullen and Edwards versions)

Password Plus ( Ludden and Kennedy version)

Super Password

Joker's Wild

Press Your Luck

while this may be off topic I would love to see a DVD Game or PC Game of these shows

Joker's Wild

Card Sharks- Perry music but perferrly Eubanks or Raffety version. although I would take Perry's version over that terrible 01 revival

Tic Tac Dough

Super Password

Press Your Luck- a better DVD Version and a PC Game would be great.

Chain Reaction- either Cullen version or Edwards version. although I prefer Edwards the late 80's version

An addendum to the previous post. Why not LMAD (including the pilot)?

I hope I'm wrong, but I'm also under the impression that the tapes of SPLIT SECOND (the original) may also be gone forever.

Gimme all of the CLASSIC Goodson-Todman games. Unfortunately, it's not likely that The 1971-75 version of PASSWORD could be included, as the lion's share of episodes no longer exist. However, why not take those few surviving episodes, and put 'em on a single CD (where is it carved in stone with titanium tools that it HAS to be a "boxed set?")

On a related note, I understand that all but a scant few episodes of the original JEOPARDY! (hosted by the late Art Fleming) are also no longer in existance.

I agree whole-heartedly, that the oritginal HOLLYWOOD SQUARES deserves a boxed/"best of" set. Ditto for the original version of PYRAMID; Bill Cullen-hosted versions included.

'70s Pyramid (Clark & Cullen)...not so much into the 80s versions as archive pieces...how much Henry Polic II do we really need to preserve? DoND should look at some of the clips from Cullen's $25K on You Tube to demonstrate how you do a big-money win with excitement and emotion. The John Ritter clip is a classic. Ditto JoAnne Worley's politically incorrect $25K win.

The Original Hollywood Squares...still some of the funniest game show moments ever.

Still waiting for GSN Live to reel in Jim Perry and/or Jim Peck...

On the Game Shows on DVD topic, I'd like to see:

-"Big Bucks: The Press Your Luck Scandal" (with the "reunion" episode of Whammy as one of the extras)

-"Game Shows That Time Forgot" (featuring episodes of The Big Showdown, The Magnificent Marble Machine, Gambit, Three On A Match, and many other shows that didn't survive having most of their episodes erased)

-Press Your Luck (a best-of compilation containing episodes from 1983, 1986, Michael Larson's run, Jenny Jones's appearances, and Chris Kaas's spectacular run)

-Russian Roulette: Seasons 1 & 2 (with commentary from Mark L. Walberg)

-Split Second: Complete Collection (all the episodes from 1986, with the surviving episodes of the '70s version as extras)

-The Best of Double Dare (with commentary from Marc Summers)

-$ale of the Century: Be$t $election $et (with Mark DeCarlo's run and commentary from him, Jim Perry and Summer Bartholomew)

-Wheel of Fortune: The Lost Years (featuring all the surviving Woolery/Stafford episodes, plus a few from the pre-Vanna Sajak year)

Pyramid(Clark and Cullen), Concentration(all versions), WWTBAM(All versions), Classic J!(Flemming and early Trebek, also the obscure, but fun '78-'79 version), The Joker's Wild(Include '71 local tryout episodes, I don't believe anyone has ever seen those!) Tic-Tac-Dough, Tattletales, and Card Sharks.

I could name more, but I gotta go!

Awesome development, especially since GSN does not run these very often now. Great for the youngsters to learn from.

Also, some classic Hollywood Squares would be nice, and the old You Don't Say episodes which featured clever celebs.

And yes, any of the original Pyramid episodes. Bill Cullen or Dick Clark.
