Newly Created “Blue Touch TV” Announces Two Format Deals
It’s always a great thing to the game show genre to hear of new, big deals from new companies being made. The new entertainment format company Blue Touch TV has announced they have secured deals for two of their formats. Blue Touch TV is started by Chris Pye and David Walton. The duo has launched two new quiz shows you may be seeing in the future.
The first show set up by Blue Touch TV is The Network, which takes social networking and turns it into a quiz show. Contestants must rely on their social networking friends from websites like Facebook and Twitter to answer questions about themselves. BBC Worldwide has signed on as international distributor. You are probably friends with many people on various social networking sites, but how well do you know them? Seems like an interesting twist on the relationship quiz show and its very timely. The second show is called Curveball. Curveball is a rapid fire quiz show where contestants play game changing curveball questions.
David Walton, Managing Director of Blue Touch TV, says: “Our combination of extensive entertainment industry experience, the breadth of skills offered by our partners and access to ground-breaking technology means we are unlike any other formats company. These initial deals and the huge amount of interest we’ve had in our whole portfolio demonstrate that Blue Touch TV is uniquely placed to deliver gripping new formats within a highly competitive market.”
Looking forward to hearing more about them soon.

Sounds like they may be aiming “Curveball” at the United States. I’ve a sneaking suspicion that a UK fan would not know what a “cirveball” is unless he’sup on baseball or other things American.
(Or are there curveballs in cricket?)
