Although it looks like they only included Top 25 markets, Norfolk/Hampton/Virginia Beach—WTVZ, also MyNetwork. It would make sense for this to air in a block with Feud during the mid-afternoons.

Same list as before - and no word on Buffalo?
I e-mailed the TV columnist at the Buffalo News, wondering if he’d mention the show in a column, but no response yet (it’s been nearly a week)…

Is the show airing somewhere in the Philly area? I haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere.

From what I’ve read in Wikipedia about the Aussie version, and what I’ve seen of excerpts of it on YouTube, here are some of the tweakings between the old Sale of the Century and Temptation:
1. A 20-second sprint round after the first 3 questions and before the first Instant Bargain/Gift Shop. (Other sprints will take place at different points later in the game.)
2. The Fame Game/Who Am I segment has some new cards available:
- Turbo/Fast Forward: the next set of questions are worth $10 up or down instead of $5.
- Burglar/Pickpocket: Allows player to take $5 from either opponent and add it to your score.
- Lockout: Allows you block a player from answering the next set of questions.
(Turbo and Lockout are removed before the final trip to the board.)
- Wild Card: Acts like the “Mystery Money or Pick Again” on the old SOTC, except it’s a set amount ($3000 on the Aussie show).
3. The Temptation Vault: Replaces the Instant Cash from Sale. A set $15 price, but with the chance to win anywhere from $1 to $10,000.
4. There are eight steps of prizes available: Day 1 usually worth $10-12K, Day 5 is a car (uasually a top-end Volvo), Day 6 is all the prizes, Day 7 is the cash jackpot (more on that in a bit), and Day 8 is for all the prizes and Double the cash. A retiring champ could easily pull down close to $1,000,000 in winnings.
4A. The Cash Jackpot: If a contestant chooses to come back for Day 2, the Jackpot is started at $50,000. They now have a chance to add another $50,000 to their pot by playing Top Ten. The player chooses one of five packs of questions, and has 60 seconds to get ten correct answers, all or nothing. I say tweak this to double the award to $100,000 for no wrong answers or passes. (Originally, this was called Ten in a Row, and you had to give all 10 answers consecutively to add $100,000 to the jackpot, with graded amounts for the longer streaks. An incorrect answer dropped you back to zero, but on losing a future game, you got to take home the TIAR money.)
With these tweaks in place, Temptation could (and has Down Under) surpass(ed) SOTC
in popularity. I can hardly wait…

New Temptation is an old-school style game show (fast-paced and fun with prizes rather than cash), airing in daytime, with the top prize being about $30,000 in value.
There is VERY little cash to be won.
It’s fast-paced but simple so many will be able to play along at home.

My last comment was how they altered teh Australian version of the show. They should do some of the same things here in the US edition.
Also: I don’t recall where I found this, but MyNetworkTV will be airing a preview episode of Temptation on Wednesday, September 5th at 8:00 eastern. This is likely a promotional showing before syndication starts Monday the 10th. Still can’t wait to see it…
