nice USA Today peice with drew and bob. Apparently the “barker” games or at least Barker’s Bargain Bar (sped as “Bin”) will remain as a tribute to Bob.

one thing frightens me… celebs as rotating models including Mimi (NO!) and the US womens soccer team (only if hope solo is the starter ;) ) that seems a little over the top although in the early 80s celeb cameos to promote new shows DID happen so it wouldnt be unprecidented.

However we do NOT need mimi, that character would make Drew look too much like a character and not a human being host.

Also ixnay on the soccer themed soccer game-ay. Anyone else get “on the nose” nightmares when this was printed today?

if he wants more drawn out PGs get hurdles and superball out of mothballs :)

i love the new set!!!!!!

interesting colors and choices. Why couldnt Fremantle do this for Card Sharks or Feud, even though their set is a modern classic too.

I cant wait for the premiere of the new price is right, and i know lots of kids will skip school that day too see the change.

Wow these people have worked extremely hard on this new set. It looks incredible and I like the idea of the modern/retro look to grab the attention of both old and young demos with which TPIR is so great at doing anyways. The lighting is awesome and I fully appreciate the hard work and dedicated spirit these people put forth. Great job guys! Can’t wait for the new season.

love it! as i said from the teases…this shoulda been done about 4 years ago instead of that “hollywood” travesty.

My only gripe and it’s a small one…the giant sign at the back has been replaced…that was iconic man. Also the old green motif for the showcases inspired by the early days im indifferent on but then again im not a big showcase fan.

NOW the $64,000 question…have the PG sets been changed to fit the new motif? Some dont need it…but Any Number is stuck in the late 80s and the glitzed up squeeze play was another 2003 travesty (the era that brought us on the spot crissakes!)

Also has drew’s name replaced bob’s on the name specific games…wouldnt mind seeing Barker’s markers staying that way in tribute but some should change “Drews discount den” has a nice ring to it.

Actually I expect the face change to occur as soon as the Barker reruns conclude Oct 12th. Somewhere between that friday and Monday the 15th is where I expect the face changing to occur

probably not unless Drew hosts the show for another 35 years, while Drew is indeed an excellent host, at the moment, Bob is still probably the one most associated with the show.

Also, in watching that nice little slideshow, it amazes me what these dedicated people go through to make TPIR what it is, for all the years we’ve watched, and for the modern era today. It just makes you smile!

SEASON 36 IS ALMOST HERE! WE’RE READY FOR THE NEW ERA!

P.S. At some point CBS will replace Bob’s mug from the top of the page, won’t they?

the new Price set looks awesome. Great mix of retro and modern. I have a feeling this new set will last Price a long time. It’s good to know we only have 2 weeks until season 36 begins. 2 weeks isn’t long to wait. Here’s to a new era of the greatet Game Show of all time. the Price is Right!. and Drew keep the legacy alive.
