New “Millionaire” Question Graphics
Valleycrest Productions provided us with a glimpse at the new Who Wants to be a Millionaire? question graphics, but we still have no idea about the new money chain graphics or anything else. The question screen looks extremely nice, though. Much better than any other I’ve seen. As always, click on the thumbnails to expand.

I have to say…those graphics are very, very nice! I like the timer as well. It seems the blue dots count inwards as the time decreases, and the clock in the center is similar to that of phone-a-friend.
I was suppose to see a taping today, but my 4 friends and I got shafted lol. Apparently, getting tickets on line is stupid because it’s a first come, first serve basis. Even getting to the studio 90 minutes before the arrival time on the ticket didn’t work! Good news is, is that I signed my girlfriend and I for an audition test in September, so we will definitely be seeing the show now!
Hey, Bob. I’ll be at the September 10th taping for sure so if you’re going to be there, be sure to shoot me an email or a message.
Slick, stylish, very modern! These are some of the best game show graphics I’ve seen! Yes, graphics don’t make a show, but you have to admit they are very good!
The addition of the timer will be the death of the show. Hopefully the music will not change too much either. I haven’t really watched WWTBAM with Vierra, not because I don’t like it, but because I don’t like to watch game shows that time of day. But if I was a watcher, I would probably stop watching it now. I’m not looking forward to these changes.
Wow, those graphics look SLICK! Even better than some of the international updates (i.e., UK, Italy). This is a rather good (and, IMO, overdue) facelift.
I wonder if they’ll get darker the farther they go up the ladder, and who knows what they might have in store for the lifelines and the dollar value graphics…
I’m still iffy on the clock, but we’ll see…
For some reason, the graphics remind me of Family Feud… the new one – I’m not sure why! :) dropzone5, I was thinking along your lines – it might be just a little too bright for the later stages of the game. It looks nice, but it might be for the wrong show. Of course, as Davies has made it clear, this isn’t your older brother’s Millionaire away.
Also, do we know yet what the forfeit is for not answering in time? Is it just walking away automatically?
Hey Neville,
From everything I’ve read, you simply walk away with the money you’ve earned. Not a bad trade-off at a higher-level unless you have a brain fart lol…on the first tier, it might suck to run out of time, and only walk away with $300.
And I love the new graphics package!
Brandon,
I believe the only way a person will walk away with $300, or something like that, is if they completely lock up, forget the clock that’s right in front of them and forget to use a lifeline.
It could happen; some people have done pretty dumb things on that level. I think it will be rare, though.
Very very cool. I like how they attached the clock to the new question graphics. The way it the new season has been put together is going to “Wow” a lot of people.
Thanks, Brandon! I think we’re all looking forward to seeing how this works on the eighth!
I think the rule should be if you run out of time, you dig into your banked time for the million dollar question. Or make that ability a lifeline, or only allow it on the final tier.
The graphics look like they were either done by VDO “Very Demanding Orders” or Dallas based, Hothaus Creative which also does many graphics for many TV stations. But the timer dots remind me of J! when time is called for the most part, but I just gotta love the VDO/Hothaus effect of the graphics.
The graphics are actually made by Blue Room.
