New Game Show Casting

This casting notice amused me and I thought I’d post it.  A casting company is looking for a family of five to participate on a new game show featuring a $1,000,000 top prize.  This is a pilot for now, but they are paying you.  They describe the show as a mix between Family Feud and Jeopardy!, as the teams will be tested on how well they know each other’s level of intelligence.  They say they are also looking for the opposite of a Family Feud family, meaning they want teams who are argumentative and opinionated.

The part that really made me laugh about this is that they are shooting in Chile.  If you want to sign up for this, you and your family of five will first fly to Sacramento, do a few run throughs, but they are actually flying you down to Chile to shoot the pilot.  All expenses are paid at least, but still.  Studio space that cheap in Chile?  Or is this a foreign game show I haven’t heard of?  It’s called Gene Pool for now.  If you’d like to get involved, click here.

Will it fly? This makes MDPW sound bearable…

Smells a lil fishy but if they’re paying for the trip…the “opposite of family feud families” scares me…sounds like newlywed game family style…which well if anyone saw the John Salley hosted (Marc Summers hiding in the announcer booth in shame) disaster called “i cant believe you said that” you will KNOW thy this is a bad idea. Also family teams of 5 are becoming harder to find…I know I’d have to resort to cousins to do it.
