The logo looks really nice. It kinda reminds me of the 'Ray Combs' version.

Eh.. I forgot all about Family Fortunes. *whacks head* Good Eye, CarShark.

I understand nixing the point system, but that big of change may turn off some viewers (and if this show's really trying to go retro, it's just going to make things worse). And as much as I like your version of the scoring system, they may not be able to fit all those rounds in unless they shrink the answer count or quicken the pace, which I don't think is likely. One single too many for me.

And the only reason I think they're not giving more money away is because they're not that profitable of a show. Once again, though, I'm hoping for the best, and they at least try a little modernization instead of trying to emulate the Dawson era.

The scoring system should be single-single-single-double-triple-Sudden Death. I hate it when one family wins the first two surveys and lead by...oh, say 182-0, because I know that the double survey is going to be worth about 14 points. If they want to keep a team from winning after three rounds so desperately, why don't they just play another single? Of course, I'd rather they ditch the points format entirely and say "first team to win three rounds gets $500 and plays Fast Money", but they'd never do that. That's too simple.

Ix-nay to Bullseye. It just eats up too much time in a 30-minute slot. It would be fine if they make an hour-long version.

As for the bonus round, I wouldn't mind the consolation prize going to $10 a point. $20 a point sounds a bit excessive, even though it follows the pattern. The top prize is 4x larger, after all.

I think the best bonus round belongs to Family Fortunes. The Fast Money prize is $10K, but getting all five top answers makes it $30K. Since ours starts at $20K, just doubling it to $40K would be fine for me.

I don't like the bonus round of Bert's Feud, besides the awful all-or-nothing format. When someone does well in the first half, they play for more money. Fine. The problem is that when teams play for the top two prizes, they are already sooooo close (or there), that it's a foregone conclusion that they'll win. It sucks out all the drama. Also, the variable top prize is too complicated for what it's worth.

Oh... and I never game my opinion about the logo. It's okay... I would like a lesser generic font, though. The logo looks a tad too retro for my tastes.

And as for the new scoring system, I like that format, but with so many low-scoring surveys, it may drag the game along too much. Maybe two singles, two doubles and the triple, if necessary. And stay with the "first-to-300" theme--if the players play very well, and time runs out before the triple can be played, I find it a but of a downer to end it just because one team is winning by a few points beyond the teams' control.

I agree! Here's how I see it:

1) Go back to the Bullseye format ($5K-$10K-$15K-$20K-$25K) and have them start with $25K a piece. Possible $100K payout right there.

2) Use the Combs set and theme. Combs did a great job, and I like him.

3) I agree with the no "Paris Hilton" thing. Just go to the basic questions like "Name the month when you can tell someone is pregnant" (and hope nobody says "September").

4) For Fast Money, play for the jackpot set in the Bullseye round [if they get 200 points] or $10 a point.

5) First family to 200 points wins the US equivalent of 5000 pesos [just like in the Mexican version] and plays Fast Money.

I think they should go

1x-1x-2x-2x-3x-3x

With the highest score going on (or first to 300)

---

No Sudden Death (leave it to the ol days of Bullseye)

---

Have The Team Reach 200 Points in Fast Money.

With The Bert's Family Feud Board Motive but with "Syndicated" amounts of money-

5 TOP ANSWERS-$50,000
4 TOP ANSWERS-$25,000
3 TOP ANSWERS-$20,000
2 TOP ANSWERS-$15,000
1 TOP ANSWER-$10,000
0 TOP ANSWER-$5,000

---

If They Fail To Reach 200, offer them $10 a point, + $500 for each "Top Answer"

---

And finally, no more "Name something Paris Hilton will miss when she is going to jail" questions.

This is not 1 vs 100, we can keep the pop culture out of it.

The logo looks like a big step back to me. Not good.

I can't believe all the people who want the "older" set back. I like the sets we've had recently, Family Fortunes lookalikes or not. Why is it a crime for things to be modern in game show world nowadays? I mean, for a genre most worried about capturing the right demographics, I don't see how appealing to nostalgia with a light blue on baby sick orange on crap brown set will help. I hated when they used the Combs theme for Karn Feud, but I wouldn't mind them changing the theme since we've had the same one for EIGHT series, now.

I just hope the show doesn't stagnate like Price is Right, where nothing changes except the host's hair color.

That's great! However $10 seems a bit right, however to match our economy dollar amounts, it should be raised to $20 a point so that they can at least get a fair amount of money.

While I do prefer this new logo to last season's, that Y messes with me, too :) But, what has bothered me for even longer has been the fact that a bad team can win in the end on a lucky triple (forget about sudden death - I mean just a single and a triple even though the other team has 200+) My thought: 1x-1x-1x-2x-2x-3x and first to 300. GASP! I know that's 6 rounds, but the triple should't have to happen if A) The team are good and B) The questions aren't impossible. I realize that tripling the points is a Feud tradition (and a turn-on for O'Hurley,) but I personally think this would make tighter, fairer games. Also, since it would be a 6th round, if it had to be played 3x would likely be SD (not my favorite, but you know how the Facts of Life theme song goes) Other thought: Instead, play for a given time period, and the leading team advances (I think someone mentioned this already - kudos to them!) But, that might be too Wheel-esque. THose are just my thoughts.

Also, doubling the Fast Money to $10x on a loss would a GOOD idea (They can afford it, the greedy little turkeys)

Oh yes. I have to agree with many of you who said this was Feud at its finest since Ray Combs left the scene. Granted, some of my complaints were already voiced in previous posts, so there's no reason for me to rehash them now. I love that logo--actually, if you take out the letters, it kinda looks like the original Dawson oval board sans score readouts, doesn't it? Brown border, chase lights, blue background...it kinda does.
