I agree taking away DOND from Mondays is a bad idea. The only logic to that is going up against ABC dancing with the stars maybe that is what it's doing but I don't know. Putting 1 vs 100 on hiatus is a bad idea. i think that people are going to get sick of waiting for it to come back. here is what needs to happen.

Mon and Wed- DOND like it was before was awesome
Fri- 1 VS 100 all season no singing bee at midseason although i admit I didn't think the singing bee was too bad but not to take the place of 1 vs 100
if you wanna run only half a season of 1 vs 100 then at least put DOND on fridays too if that is NBC plan to kill it off. I personally don't wanna see the primetime version of DOND go off but I have to agree that lately it hasnt had the drama that it use to and poppin celebrites on there all the time too gets annoying after a while because of the focus more on the celebrities when they pop on instead of the gameplay. I still enjoy DOND but leave it on Mon and Wed where it use to work take early season one for example.

If NBC can't bring back 1 VS. 100 for a midseason replacement, maybe one of the other networks could pick it up. (Maybe ABC, which has carried the Edemol produced game show "Show Me The Money" which lasted only 1 month and was recently briefly rerun on GSN not making it to the 2 unaired episodes, as well as the upcoming "Set For Life" since Edemol owns 1 VS. 100, could acquire the show if Edemol's "Set For Life" is a Summer 2007 hit)

Two words (and a dissertation thereafter): NO DEAL.

IMHO, 1 vs. 100 is getting the shaft. I really agree that it's a far better than DOND, which (I believe, anyway) jumped the shark after celebrities started "spoiling" the contestants (i.e., Celine Dion visiting one of her fans on the season 1 finale). Sure, there are celebs in 1 vs. 100, but the main focus is on the player; there isn't too much interaction between Bob and the celebs.

But basically, I agree with Sanford 100%.

I think Nbc is trying to kill the primetime version for the syncated version. Look at the weakestlink they kept showing cleb shows and that got cancled and they had a syncated version. and Who wants to be a millionaire they kept airing it almost everyday. and that got cancelled and a syncated version started . Whats the point of making a primetime show if your going to cancelled it after a few yaers. The lifetime of a primetime gameshow is 3 years.

Anything for NBC to annoy Alex! Hehe!

I wished 1 vs. 100 would get better treatment, too. I've stopped watching the US Deal or No Deal because I'm fed up with the shouting and hype made by the contestant and his or her family members and the overproduced stunts and surprises. (It feels that way for me. Or maybe I've been watching too much UK DoND, because it has real drama and pacing is right.)

But yes, I hope Scott St. John can pitch 1 vs. 100 to the syndicators STAT if NBC can't bring it back sooner. Like Weakest Link with George Gray, I would love to see it premiere in January of 2008.

I think 1 vs 100 would make a better syndie show than DoND. Trivia and word games seem to stick around for awhile. I still find DoND a guilty pleasure but 2 airings a week is enough. Everyday? No thanks.

I swear NBC just wants to see if it can launch something scripted in their best rated time slot and see if it does well. If Chuck bombs, I think DoND will go right back to Mondays and we'll see 1 vs 100 sooner. The Wednesday DoND is probably to boost the ratings of the Bionic Woman, which they've been promoting the daylights out of.

And in regards to Friday Night Lights, NBC wants to save that show. It's their 'critical darling' and they want to boost the ratings of a show that gets good reviews. I don't see the audience being there enough on Fridays in general, honestly.

Singing Bee will probably do well following America's Got Talent. It wouldn't surprise me if tonight does fine. The real test for the show will be sans a decent ratings lead in.

Oh and, it wouldn't surprise me that networks are saving some unscripted stuff just in case there is that writer's strike this fall. If that is strill a possibility, anyway.

This entire schedule situation is confusing and actually aggravating. It's amazing just how badly 1 VS 100 is treated with the rather good ratings (in NBC's standards) that it gets. Christ, look at our ratings page. It's constantly winning its time slot, in the top 3 for the night, and it almost beat a brand new Fifth Grader last week. I really hope the EP (whose name escapes me at the moment) has enough sense to realize how popular the show is and just syndicate it instead of letting what is truly a dumb network ruin it. I'm pretty sure it'll be back midseason or maybe even November/December, but I'm also kinda expecting to see the show come back after Friday Night Lights bombs, which it will.

I don't expect Singing Bee to survive that long either. Yes, the recent airings have been reruns, but the show has dropped to staggering lows. Tomorrow is going to be interesting. Time to see if people can discern that the show is new and not in reruns.

I think that DorND should be put on hiatus instead of 1 vs. 100. Pulling off of Monday is a really stupid idea (see Law & Order going from Wed. 10 p.m. to Fri. 10 p.m. and now staring in January '08 after football rather than September).

Agreed, agreed, agreed. I always wondered why 1 VS 100, a much superior show, according to Alex, is on the backburner constantly, while DoND gets milked to death.

captparis1, well agreed on everything You've said. I also agree that killing 1 vs. 100 would also be wrong. It too is a great NBC show. IMO, the mastermind(s) behind this new schedule need(s) to be fired.

I don't follow DoND, due to the fact that I have gotten way too tired of seeing annoying contestants, but PLEASE. Does NBC have to milk DonD to death, slotting this in way too many time slots? I have a feeling they're gonna pull a Millionaire very soon.

Agreed Adam! It's like they're prematurely trying to KILL the show this season, in order to better justify the existence of the SYNDICATED Deal (like what happened with Millionaire.)

1 vs. 100 does deserve MUCH better than the treatment it is getting lately. Bee is OK- but its too easy to win the $50K and as usual no prizes for even 2nd place (except the $500 audience question.) Of course, what's the point if u can go for a million on Don't Forget... on Fox.

Maybe "1 Vs. 100" could return in midseason on NBC if one of the other Fall 2007 shows flop (maybe "Chuck" on Mondays?) after a few weeks.

It's a shame that NBC keeps sacrificing "1 vs. 100". It's actually one of their better shows since Deal premiered. It might not be Top 20 like Deal, but at least it wins its timeslot.
