Morning Buzz for May 25, 2011

Here are a few quick morning updates for your Wednesday.  And congratulations to the Canucks on their great double overtime win last night.

*Syndicated ratings for the week ending May 15th.  The horse race between Family Feud and Who Wants to be a Millionaire continues.  The most recent winner is Family Feud.  The Steve Harvey hosted show, soon moving to Atlanta for its 13th season, improved 9% to a 2.4 rating.  Millionaire stayed flat at 2.3.  Next season is going to be interesting.  The rest, for the most part, did fine.  Wheel of Fortune picked up 5% to a 6.6 and Jeopardy! up 8% to 5.6.

*Jeff Stelling, the short-term host of the long-running Channel 4 game show Countdown has announced he will be leaving the show after three years.  Stelling has been with the show for three years.  He will leave by the end of December.  Countdown was hosted by Richard Whiteley for 23 years before his death in 2005.  Since then there has been a rotating set of hosts including Des Lynam and Des O’Connor.  Take a look at the show below.  Video courtesy Channel 4.
