“Minute to Win It” Game Previews

NBC recently released some clips of various games that will be played on their new game show Minute to Win It, debuting March 14th at 7:00PM ET.  Four of the games are below.  I really don’t know what to completely say, but I’m sure some of you will fill in the blanks.  The presentation of the games is so overblown in a bad way that it’s groan-worthy.  The bad thing is Guy Fieri does a really nice job.  He’s just stuck here.  Take a look at the clips below.  Again, despite the complaints, I still think the show will do fine for the first episode or two because of massive promotion.

It almost looks as though they are aware of what the challenges are prior to the show. The contentents are just too quick and know the formulas of some of the challenges. I think this is all BS.

Beat the Clock was a HOOT — because the host and the contestants all KNEW they were making fools of themselves and having fun doing it. Fun was the whole point — the prizes were just a plus.
This version (which everybody but NBC seems to know is a ripoff of BTC) takes itself so seriously and is so overproduced and overdramatized til it misses the whole point.
Or maybe being able to remember when having fun was the whole point of something – just makes me too old.

  • Paul says:

Yep – probably too old — because I am talking about the ORIGINAL version from the late 50s. Every remake since then has done what copies do — lost some of what made the original what it was.

obviously they have practiced the stunts before. I like the show but I agree it would be better if they didn't know how to do them.

I saw you latest game with the banana swung from your belt to place an orange in a hula -hoop. I found it not in good taste. You could think of something better.

Oh please! The challenge was hilarious. It's all in fun & entertainment. People need to lighten up & just enjoy life. Good grief, its 2010!

This show is funny because you never know what challenge they are going to give you. It isn’ that fun though because you know all of the challenges they can give you so you have time to practice. I think that it should be a suprise on what they are going to do. Overall I think that this is a great show and it is cool how they get soo much money fo doing the easiest things..
