That's just bad marketing right there. It's one thing to promote an exciting event. It's another to deceive the viewers. Even Millionaire was "called out" on such things last year. I Deal's case, it was overkill on the promotion machine that may've "killed" the show when they announced even during the Olympics that someone's gonna win "The Big One".

Well, didn't Deal or no Deal pretty much promise the same thing a couple of times and fail to deliver? Promising the audience that someone will win $1,000,000 for a few episodes and they didn't do it?

Millionaire wouldn't have had the ads guaranteeing a $1,000,000 winner had someone not won it. The show isn't stupid.

Is it wrong for me to root for failure all around so that although Millionaire bragged that it will give away a $1,000,000 check, it lied through their teeth about it?
