“Million Pound Drop” Debuts Tonight at 10:00PM on Channel 4
Tonight’s a big night for British game shows. The debut of the brand new show The Million Pound Drop is tonight, live, at 10:00PM on Channel 4. One contestant will get £1,000,000 up front and has to keep it throughout eight questions. The player can split the money on different answers, but the money on wrong answers will drop out of play. If the contestant has any money left over, he or she faces one more question with two choices where it’s all or nothing.
Channel 4 has been incredibly nice to reach out to our extensive UK reader base, as well as our equally extensive US audience, in providing some non-region specific videos for everyone. We’ll also get a recap of tonight’s episode for you tomorrow so everyone can see how it goes. If you’re watching the show live tonight be sure to tell us how it is. First here’s a time lapse look at the creation of the very impressive set.
Next, here’s two videos featuring the host Davina McCall. In the first video she discusses the show. In the second she gives her presenting tips.

Well I don't know about "big".

Just a Warning – tis not very good – I'm sure Alex will get a vid up showing why
I love Davina McCall! I would love for her to come and host a US show, considering next summer she will not have Big Brother to host anymore.
Needed a bit of work to be honest before going live – the actual gameplay is good, but the basics need addressing so Davina doesn't have to stop and count the cash.
Biggest complaint from most is about the pacing – just eight questions in an hour. However, despite that I thought it actually was paced OK – it didn't feel dragged out and there was absolutely no filler. General chat kept to a minimum with all discussion based on the gameplay and facts related to the answers – plus a limit of one minute on answering each question.
